Abeyance
Junction 18 Lyrics
we're sitting in between our eyes
when i notice
there's no friction
in these december skies
oh i wonder why
we can't continue our own lives
our chance past
i just want to know it
but then you go away
but i want to last
i won't just show it
i can't remember why
but i hope you had your say
it's always about this time
when i start to think about
all those things
i know you could do without
you left me standing here
i can't face this fear
who cares
i guess that's what you say
why has this all gone wrong
i'd never think to notice
but then you were gone
now i'm left alone
standing in the cold
why has this all gone wrong
i'd never think to notice
but then you were gone
now i'm left alone
standing in the cold
in the cold
i saw it
i guess you knew it
it only happens once
i just can't do it
i saw it
i guess you knew it
it only happens once
i see right through it
that only goes to show
expectations that were once so high always end up below
you had me turning red
we'll never fall apart
that's what she said
what she said
why has this all gone wrong
i'd never think to notice
but then you were gone
now i'm left alone
standing in the cold
why has this all gone wrong
i'd never think to notice
but then you were gone
now i'm left alone
standing in the cold
in the cold

Representatives from Fearless Records were searching for new talent at the time when Chad Gilbert from New Found Glory mentioned Junction 18. The band sent a demo in and were signed within the week. In the fall of 2000, Junction 18 -- vocalist Andy Bristol, bassist Ryan Spencer, drummer Chris Kelley, and guitarists Ryan McHugh and Scott Morganella -- released This Vicious Cycle on Fearless and spent time touring with bands like Dynamite Boy and the Stryder. They followed up two years later with the EP Heroes from the Future. The guys then appeared on The Acoustic Split alongside Over It in 2003, issued through Top Notch Records.
