June Divided - "Bullet" (Music VIdeo)
Well hey there, thanks for checking us out! If you’ve been following us already, you probably know that we’re not a serious-bio kinda band. Because you know what they say: if you ever take life to serious, you might not get out alive…
Funny that we say that because some of the material on our new album, Backbone, is actually quite serious. After a year and a half in the industry, the band had a lot of things we wanted to say. We’ve taken risks, made bold moves and pushed ourselves pretty far. But we couldn’t be happier and so there’s a lot of fun in our music as well. I guess that kinda explains who June Divided is in a nut-shell. We’re serious about what we do, but we’re having a blast doing it.
Backbone is our first full-length album and we spent every penny and every minute we had on making it. We spent 4 (very intense) weeks in Soundmine Recording Studios with producer Alec Henninger to record it and it’s something we’re really proud of. So it would make our day if you would check it out here:

We hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed creating it. Come see us at a show sometime :)
Love,
Melissa, Chris, Keith and Lenny

Reset
June Divided Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Like ship stuck in the sky, it's always there
Today, still hold stories
So when it's over, it's never going
And I find the patterns in stars in the night sky
Die for the habits that we just can't break
It's always easier when we can forget
I can reset
I can reset
We change, moving circles
And then we came across to keep away
We say, it's the last time
But stories in the sky will never lie
And I find the patterns in stars in the night sky
Die for the habits that we just can't break
It's always easier when we can forget
So I start over, but
I can reset
I can reset
The opening line of "I try, but cannot race it" in June Divided's song "Reset" describes a recurring struggle to escape the past. The metaphor of a "ship stuck in the sky" further emphasizes the idea of being trapped; no matter how fast or far a ship travels, it cannot escape the sky. The past is always present in our lives as it is filled with stories that we carry with us, shaping who we are.
The chorus begins with "And I find the patterns in stars in the night sky," which suggests that the singer is searching for order and meaning in life amid the chaos of daily existence. The next line "Die for the habits that we just can't break" indicates how difficult it is to break patterns and habits formed over time. Despite this, "It's always easier when we can forget," so the singer finds solace in the idea of starting over and resetting life.
The lyrics of "Reset" are poignant and introspective, reflecting a struggle to move beyond past mistakes and circumstances. The song speaks to the universal human experience of growth and change while acknowledging the potential for resilience and starting fresh.
