June Divided - "Bullet" (Music VIdeo)
Well hey there, thanks for checking us out! If you’ve been following us already, you probably know that we’re not a serious-bio kinda band. Because you know what they say: if you ever take life to serious, you might not get out alive…
Funny that we say that because some of the material on our new album, Backbone, is actually quite serious. After a year and a half in the industry, the band had a lot of things we wanted to say. We’ve taken risks, made bold moves and pushed ourselves pretty far. But we couldn’t be happier and so there’s a lot of fun in our music as well. I guess that kinda explains who June Divided is in a nut-shell. We’re serious about what we do, but we’re having a blast doing it.
Backbone is our first full-length album and we spent every penny and every minute we had on making it. We spent 4 (very intense) weeks in Soundmine Recording Studios with producer Alec Henninger to record it and it’s something we’re really proud of. So it would make our day if you would check it out here:

We hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed creating it. Come see us at a show sometime :)
Love,
Melissa, Chris, Keith and Lenny

Waves
June Divided Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I know you'll learn before you jump in
You might be in too deep
The risk is have been taken But the undertow won't drown us And the waves won't pull us down
We're not sinking yet Waves won't pull us down We're not sinking yet We're not sinking from the surface
By now we're undo we That kind of sea water
My skin feels colder than the ocean
We have the say goodbye
As the current drowns away the rest
And the waves won't pull us down
We're not sinking yet Waves won't pull us down We're not sinking yet
We're not sinking from the surface
Crash into the storm, but we're alive
And we will dive fast, into the tide Into the tide
Waves won't pull us down
We're not sinking yet We're not sinking from the surface
Waves won't pull us down
We're not sinking yet We're not sinking from the surface
We're not sinking yet
We're not sinking from the surface We're not. sinking Oh we're not. sinking
The lyrics of June Divided's song Waves poetically describe a sense of perseverance and determination despite facing difficult times. The song appears to be a metaphor for a challenging situation in which the singer is familiar with the signs that signal things are about to get difficult. They recognize when they need to take a step back and learn from their past experiences before jumping into the deep end. Despite the risk involved, they reassure themselves that they will not be pulled under by the undertow or the waves.
As the song continues, we get glimpses into the consequences of this risk-taking. The singer describes the feeling of the waves crashing over them and their skin feeling colder than the surrounding ocean. They acknowledge the need to say goodbye and move forward, even though others will be watching them closely. However, they remain resolute and confident that they will survive the storm and come out stronger on the other side.
June Divided's Waves is an inspiring song that encourages listeners to push through difficult times and take risks, while still being mindful and respectful of their own personal limits. It also emphasizes the importance of learning from past mistakes and being confident in one's own strength and ability to weather life's challenges.
