She was born in Davao City, went to high school at the Ateneo de Davao University and went to Miriam college in Manila. She finished BS Psychology, presently taking up a Master's Degree at the Ateneo De Manila Univ. She is the youngest of two children. Her mother is an obstetrician-gynecologist. Her father is an engineer. Her elder sister is also an obstetrician-gynecologist. In November 2009 it was announced that Juris will leave MYMP and is planning to go solo, and has signed recording contract with Star Records.
