Born in North London, Jack grew up on a diet of dance music including, break dance, electro hip hop and house. A wannabe break dancer at eight, his love of dance music led him to start DJing at the age of fifteen and he soon became submerged in DJ culture and US garage.
After completing a degree in Furniture Design Jack enrolled on a community music production course, which heightened his awareness to the potential of sampling. This inspired Jack to concentrate on perfecting his sound by night and to take on a series of unfulfilling jobs by day.
"I've been a washer upper, a flower arranger, a runner for a TV post production company... I even worked at Gap for while. That made me all the more determined to work at the music. I would get this down time in a studio and be recording all night, and working at Gap all day. It was knackering but it was very inspiring time."
Jack's debut album, 'The Outer Marker' is a collection of songs about modern life, relationships and the pressures of social situations. Originally released by the independent label RG Records, Just Jack's debut album 'The Outer Marker' received fantastic reviews. 'The Independent' described it as "impressive", Q said, "masterful", the 'NME' said "Awesome. Welcome Just Jack, you rule!", and 'The Big Issue' saluted Jack as "The new troubadour of daily life in the UK".
"The Outer Marker" has recently been re-packaged and re-released and now includes extra tracks and the video for 'Snowflakes'. It has been receiving plenty of airplay and remixes from the likes of Aphrodite and a famous Cure bootleg of 'Snowflakes' is now thrusting Just Jack into the limelight.
Recently, Jack and his band played his third ever gig to a great crowd at the Glastonbury Dance Tent and he will be performing at the V Festivals later this summer.
Jack Allsopp on Just Jack:
"I never had heroes and never wanted to be like other musicians", he says. "I have no affiliations to anyone, I'm not part of a gang, I'm not a part of a scene and I don't have a sound that's obviously a part of a scene. I'm Just Jack."

Triple Tone Eyes
Just Jack Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
They play back in my head
You showed me myself
In the words you said
And I could not believe you
Your qualities unique
And I was enchanted by the way
You spoke to the strangers on the street
And keep my head above water
You know your own mind so well
And won't surrender any quarter
Well if this is a dream
I'll keep my eyes wide shut forever
If this is a dream
I hope I'm in a coma
'Cause
[Chorus]
You kill me
And then you bring me back to life
You cut me
With the sweetest knife
You kill me
And then you tell me why
My baby
The girl with the triple tone eyes
I know you've been through it
And that I do respect
But if you can't let it go
How can we connect
I realize this is strange love
But we should let it flow
And you don't need to say anything
'Cause I already know
Don't it feel right dear
Now we're making eye contact
And yes it feels right here
I don't ever wanna go back
Well if this is a dream
I'll keep my eyes wide shut forever
If this is a dream
I hope I'm in a coma
'Cause
[Chorus]
Well if this is a dream
I'll keep my eyes wide shut forever
If this is a dream
I hope I'm in a coma
'Cause
[Chorus]
The lyrics in "Triple Tone Eyes" by Just Jack talk about a unique and powerful love that the singer experiences with someone who he admires greatly. He talks about how the things this person says to him play back in his head, and how they have helped him see himself in a new light. He admires this person's unique qualities and the way they interact with strangers on the street. In many ways, he feels as though they save him and keep his head above water. The chorus of the song is particularly moving, with the singer expressing how this person "kills" and "cuts" him but then brings him back to life with their love.
The song is ultimately about a passionate and unusual love that goes beyond the norm. The singer acknowledges that it may be strange, but he wants to let it flow because it feels so right. The idea of dreaming or being in a coma is a recurring motif in the song, and the singer seems to suggest that he would rather stay in this dream-like state if it means being with this person.
Overall, "Triple Tone Eyes" is a heartfelt and emotional song that captures the intensity and passion of an unusual love. It speaks to the power of connection and how it can save us in even the darkest of times.

But we should just go with it
And you don't need to say anything
You don't have to explain anything
'Cause I already know
Because I already understand
Don't it feel right dear
Doesn't this feel good, my dear
Now we're making eye contact
Now we're looking at each other
And yes it feels right here
And it feels good in this moment
I don't ever wanna go back
I don't want to return to the past
