No God?
Just Jinger Lyrics

Then God said 'let there be man'
Now what we've done is very plain to see
Now man says 'there is no God'
There is no God
But the rain keeps falling down
A new baby cries out loud all the time
Tomorrow might not just be another day
I'm sure we can all see the signs
The price of life is not just a debt to pay
But you keep thinking all the same
All the same, you keep thinking all the same
So the words you say mean nothing to me
They're all the same, you keep thinking all the same
So the words you say mean nothing
There is no God
But the rain keeps falling down
A new baby cries out loud all the time
There is no God, but the rain keeps falling down
A new baby cries out loud all the time
It's all the same
You keep thinking all the same
So the words you say mean nothing to me
The lyrics to Just Jinger's song No God express a sense of disillusionment and despair with the state of the world. The opening line suggests that humanity was originally meant to live in harmony with nature, but the introduction of man into the world has disrupted this balance. The next line, "now what we've done is very plain to see," implies that the negative consequences of human actions are obvious, and that we are responsible for the state of the world.
The chorus of the song repeats the phrase "there is no God," suggesting a rejection of the idea of divine intervention or salvation. This is contrasted with the imagery of the "rain keeps falling down" and the "new baby cries out loud," which imply a continuation of natural processes despite human intervention. This juxtaposition creates a sense of hopelessness, as if the world is continuing and evolving without any regard for our beliefs or actions.
The final verse suggests that the singer has given up hope of changing the world, as the "words you say mean nothing to me." This resignation is perhaps the most depressing aspect of the song, as it implies that even the act of speaking out against injustice or trying to make a difference is ultimately futile.
