Shallow waters
Just Jinjer Lyrics

And I don't know, why
There's something, that's not right with my soul
I have no goal, I have no goal
I'm leaving shallow waters
I'm leaving all my dreams of you
I can't go on, I want to run away
Tomorrow, it won't help me at all
It won't help me at all
There's something, that I told you and
You don't know, that it's true
Oh, that it's true now
I'm leaving shallow waters
I'm leaving all my dreams of you
I can't go on
I want to run away
I'm leaving shallow waters
All my dreams of you
I can't go on, I want to run away
Run away, I think I'll go today
'Cos you know, tomorrow
It won't help me at all
It won't help me at all
Shallow waters
All my dreams of you
I can't go on
I'm leaving shallow waters
The song Shallow Waters by Just Jinger is a melancholic ballad about a person who is leaving their current situation and moving on to something else. The lyrics are indicative of someone who is struggling with something in their soul and has no clear goals or direction. The song is open to interpretation, but it can be said that the individual wants to escape from a relationship, job or an otherwise confining situation.
The individual is leaving shallow waters, all their dreams of the other person behind. They cannot go on with the situation and want to run away from it. The individual feels trapped by their own dreams, and the only viable solution is to escape. The lyrics convey the urgency of the situation, as the individual feels that they cannot wait until tomorrow. There is a sense of finality in the song, as though the person is finally making a decision and walking away.
Shallow Waters has a stirring melody that fits perfectly with the lyrics. The song features a soothing guitar riff that complements the lead singer's vocal quality. The song is a perfect reflection of the band's musical style, which is a mix of rock, pop, and alternative music. It was released in 2006 and received significant airplay on various radio stations. Overall, the song is an excellent example of the band's unique music style and the introspective nature of their lyrics.

Watched you live somewhere in Hatfield, Brooklyn or maybe at the University of Pretoria grounds sometime around 1996/1997. Great times, excellent music, I still love it.
