Sing-a-… Read Full Bio ↴An Australian Youth Crew Hardcore band, disbanded in late 2007.
Sing-a-long oriented. In late 2003, 4 kids got together in a small practice space in Brisbanes Fortitude Valley with the intentions of having fun and playing hardcore with heart and message. Drawing influences from the likes of Gorilla Biscuits, Insted, Bold, Chain of Strength, In My Eyes, Time Flies, Mouthpiece, and other youth crew bands, led to a fast paced, energetic sound. This was the starting point for JUST SAY GO!!! Brisbane had been home to very few youth crew influenced bands, and since the break up of Sunshine Coast band TOGETHER, the scene was in need of a dose of late 80s sing-along mayhem. Just Say go started playing backyard shows and small local shows in Ipswich in early 2004 with the original line up of Gareth on drums, his younger brother Allan on vocals, Crispy on guitar and Troy on bass. Since then the band has been playing fun filled shows and spreading the messages of open mindedness, honesty and sincerity through simple, yet heartfelt, music. Mid 2004 JUST SAY GO released their demo, a self-recorded, self produced ten track CD with photocopied covers. Mid to late 2004 saw Nathan join JUST SAY GO on second guitar, which led to a bigger sound, more ideas for writing, and seemed to set the bands sound and line up in concrete. The bands first official release was a 12 track EP on Brisbane label Round 3 Records titled One chance to live, consisting of 11 original tunes and a cover of Bolds wise up. The band recently recorded for a follow up to One Chance to Live due to be released on Resist Records in March of 2006. 2006 will hopefully see the band get round Australia to bring their blend of hardcore to new audiences.
Dying Inside
Just Say Go! Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
The lyrics to Just Say Go!'s song Dying Inside seem to be addressing someone who is going through a difficult time or experiencing emotional pain. The singer acknowledges the pain that is visible in the other person's eyes and empathizes with the feeling of disappointment that comes with the realization that nothing lasts forever. Despite this, the singer encourages the other person to take pride in the fact that they tried, that they gave it their all. The singer acknowledges that it would be easy to try to offer false words of comfort, but instead encourages the person to not feel let down because the wounds they feel will eventually heal with time.
The singer then goes on to offer some tough love, reminding the person that sometimes the only thing one can trust is the fact that there is no one to trust. However, the singer does offer some consolation in the truth, which is never wrong, even if it leaves you feeling hurt and defeated. The final line of the verse is a reminder that life goes on, and even though it may be difficult to walk away from a situation that is weighing heavily on you, it is important to not let it leave you hollow and dying inside.
Overall, the lyrics to Dying Inside seem to be offering words of comfort and support to someone who is struggling emotionally. The message seems to be one of hope - that even though things may be tough now, with time and the courage to let go, healing and moving on are possible.
