Usinibore
Just a Band Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Don′t tell me what I can or can't
Do
I can change the world
Just because I′m an African with
A black
Skin
It doesn't mean that I won't
Win if I
Try
It doesn′t matter where you′ve
Been,
What you've seen, what you know
I know I am gonna win, I have the
Heart
Of a champion, heart of a champion
Don′t tell me what I can or can't

Do
I can change the world

The words to this song encouraged my little girl to appreciate herself as black girl. Know herself worth in an environment where she was being told that being black is bad. Knowing just because she is an African with black skin, she can win if she tries. She isn't bad at all. Thank you!
