And everyone's watchin'
So let's get to the good part
And past all the nonsense
Sometimes it's hard to do the right thing
When the pressure's coming down like lightning
It's like they want me to be perfect
'Cause life's not easy, I'm not made out of steel
Don't forget that I'm human, don't forget that I'm real
Act like you know me, but you never will
But there's one thing that I know for sure
I'll show you
I'll show you
I'll show you
I'll show you
I gotta learn things
Learn them the hard way
Gotta see what it feels like
No matter what they say
Sometimes it's hard to do the right thing
When the pressure's coming down like lightning
It's like they want me to be perfect
When they don't even know that I'm hurtin'
'Cause life's not easy, I'm not made out of steel
Don't forget that I'm human, don't forget that I'm real
You act like you know me, but you never will
But there's one thing that I know for sure
I'll show you
I'll show you
I'll show you
I'll show you
'Cause life's not easy, I'm not made out of steel
Don't forget that I'm human, don't forget that I'm real
You act like you know me, but you never will
But there's one thing that I know for sure
I'll show you
I'll show you
In "I'll Show You," Justin Bieber sings about the pressure and scrutiny that comes with being a celebrity. He acknowledges the fact that his life is like a movie, where everyone is watching his every move. However, he wants to get past all the superficialities of fame and show his fans who he really is, both the good and bad. Bieber admits that it's not easy to do the right thing when he is constantly under pressure, and it feels like he's expected to be perfect all the time. But in reality, he is human and goes through hardships like everyone else.
The chorus/bridge of the song is where Bieber proclaims that he will show his fans who he really is. He acknowledges that people act like they know him, but they never will truly understand what he goes through. The phrase "I'll show you" is a declaration of Bieber's intent to be authentic and honest with his fans. He wants his music to reflect who he is as a person and to use his platform to showcase his true self instead of the persona people often see in the media.
