From the small town of Plaquemine, Louisiana, Justin is no stranger to hard work and adversity. At a very young age he dealt with the tragedy of losing his father. Following in his father’s footsteps, Justin discovered that he too had the gift of music. He honed his talents by singing in the church and studying the harmonies of Earth, Wind and Fire as well as the vocal performances of Michael Jackson. He was also greatly influenced by the music of Lionel Richie, Maroon 5 and Usher.
This singer, songwriter and scholar began sharing his talents with the world through a series of covers, re-writes, and remixes of chart toppers Rihanna, Beyonce’, and more; in addition to multiple self-written and co-produced originals. After capturing the attention of millions through YouTube and other social media outlets, listeners worldwide are projecting his imminent success in the music industry.
After a wave of notable accomplishments, including being selected as an Artist on the Rise by Amazon.com, featured new artist on Myspace and reaching the #8 spot on iTunes (Japan) R&B/Soul charts, Justin began working on his album I Am (released in July of 2012). The lead single "Cherry Bomb" became a viral success and was heavily requested at radio. The album quickly caught the attention of music enthusiasts and industry heavyweights, leading to a meeting with a major record label. Concerned with protecting his individuality and musical sound, Justin decided to further develop his craft and pursue other opportunities.
Upon returning home, Justin was immediately enlisted as a supporting act for Trey Songz Anticipation Tour. Garner’s performance was well received and led to him performing concerts around the United States alongside Big Sean, Keri Hilson and other established recording artists. Continuing to perfect his talent, Justin entered the studio to create Year One, a new project that marked the return to his original R&B Pop sound, bringing soul stirring vocals and emotion back to the forefront. The EP was praised for having incredible songwriting, vocal prowess and received recognition from iTunes editorial staff as New & Noteworthy R&B/Soul.
With no intention of slowing down, Justin passionately records and performs with only one priority – his fans. Justin’s evolution as an artist, songwriter and vocal arranger is remarkable. His drive and ambition for creating music is unrelenting.

I been shuttin down, everybodys leavin'
You're still on the floor (ohh)
And i look at you and you see me
But you ain't havin' it,
Cause you know i did you wrong, ohh
If you give me a chance i can explain why it didnt work
I proceed to the dancefloor
But you walk away, and i'm sayin' please don't go
Take me back
Can you please stay, it don't gotta end this way
Woah oh woah oh
So let your mind be free
Throw it all on me
I'm ready, take me back
Take me back, back, back, back
Back, back, back, back, back, back
So let your mind be free
Throw it all on me
I'm ready, take me back
Gotta couple of drinks in this ???
Only way you're dancin' with me
But i know you gon' stop when your buzzers gone
Then it's just gon' be (gon' be me gon' be me)
Baby let me explain, what i did
If i could take it back
If i could dance on the moon,
I would dance just for you
If i could
Take me back
Can you please stay, it don't gotta end this way
Woah oh woah oh
So let your mind be free
Throw it all on me
I'm ready, take me back
Take me back, back, back, back
Back, back, back, back, back, back
So let your mind be free
Throw it all on me
I'm ready, take me back
Baby give me a chance,
I won't do you wrong
Like i did once before
Yeah, i was wrong
Can you take me back, take me back
Take me back
Ohhh ( take me back )
Take me back
Can you please stay, it don't gotta end this way
Woah oh woah oh
So let your mind be free
Throw it all on me
I'm ready, i'm ready
Take me back, back, back, back
Back, back, back, back, back, back
So let your mind be free
Throw it all on me
I'm ready, take me back
Take me back
Oh take me back
Let's go!
The lyrics to Justin Garner's "Take Me Back" express a plea for forgiveness and a desire to reconcile after causing harm in a relationship. The song begins with the singer realizing that everyone else has left the party or dance floor and that he is alone with his ex-partner. He notices her on the dance floor but realizes that she is still upset with him for something he did wrong. He tries to explain and make amends, but she walks away, leaving him pleading for her to stay, promising that things don't have to end this way.
The singer then confesses that he had a few drinks to build up the courage to apologize and dance with her, but he knows that when the alcohol wears off, she will stop dancing and remember why she's upset with him. Still, he remains hopeful that he can make things right and dance on the moon just for her if he could. He begs for another chance, acknowledging his past mistakes but promising to never hurt her again.
Overall, the song showcases the vulnerability and regret of someone who has caused harm in a relationship and desperately wants to make things right.
