Juwita's journey in the professional music scene began in her late teens as a backing vocalist for leading Malaysian artistes at gigs, mega concerts and prominent award shows. It was during this time that she developed her personal versatility and was often called upon to record song demos for East Asian publishing houses. In fact, it was demos such as these which were eventually released and unexpectedly caught the attention of many a curious listener. One example is her rendition of “Breathe Again”, published by Warner Music Taiwan in a Soundtrack for Mandarin TV drama series ‘The Outsiders’.
In July 2003, while representing Malaysia at the YWCA World Council & International Women’s Summit in Brisbane, Australia, Juwita performed a song she wrote based on the theme, ‘Leading Change’. It expressed her passion to encourage especially youth to use their unique God-given capabilities to make a difference in society. This received an enthusiastic response from the audience of approximately 1,000 women from over 100 countries.
In 2004, Juwita was entrusted with the task of coaching the finalists of the inaugural 'Malaysian Idol', and continued to do so for the second season. In the following years, she guest coached on reality shows 'One in a Million' and 'Mentor'. She was also enlisted on the LG MyStarz mentoring team consisting of Malaysia's top musicians.
Since the release of her debut solo album, Juwita has performed at numerous events, youth rallies and concerts in Peninsular & East Malaysia and Singapore. In November 2005, she had her first Australian Mini Tour during which she performed and presented an 'Angel' award at the National Gospel Music Awards in Canberra. Her second Australian Mini Tour in July 2006 was with the first Malaysian Idol Jaclyn Victor. Together they performed at Paradise Community Church in Adelaide, Australia for Christ Fellowship in Melbourne and at the Mt.Buller Ski Resort. June 2007 found Juwita at the Asia Pacific Youth Alive Conference in Jakarta, Indonesia with the Malaysian team that led a stadium-full of 5,500 young people in worship. In July 2007, she performed once again at the International Women's Summit, this time held in Nairobi, Kenya.
Just Like That

I would imagine I was Carolyn Keene,
Pounding chapters on a blank sheet of paper
I didn′t notice that you were notice me
You signed me up for a class with twenty big sisters
And put me on a bike that you taught me to ride
"What is this for?" I asked and you told me
And just like that, you left me smiling
Just Like that, you left me wondering
Why oh why, I had this peace of mind
Like a violin lives to sing
Like a child on a garden swing
No matther what the line,
You alwasy had the time
You had the perfect rhyme
I remember that day came home crying
So very mad at my first damn "F"
"Aren't you glad," you surprisingly asked me,
" That this wasn′t some major test?"
And just like that, you left me smiling
Just Like that, you left me wondering
Why oh why, I had this peace of mind
Like a violin lives to sing
Like a child on a garden swing
No matther what the line,
You always had the time
You had the perfect rhyme
You had the perfect rhyme
I won't forget that Monday morning,
Trading psalms upon your bed
Right there in the valley of the shadow of death
"I'm not afraid" you said.
And just like that, you left me smiling
Just Like that, you left me wondering
Why oh why, I had this peace of mind
Like a violin lives to sing
Like a child on a garden swing
No matther what the line,
You always had the time
You had the perfect rhyme
You had the perfect rhyme
And just like that, you left me smiling
Just Like that, you left me wondering
Why oh why, I had this peace of mind
Like a violin lives to sing
Like a child on a garden swing
No matther what the line,
You always had the time
You had the perfect rhyme
The lyrics to Juwita Suwito's song "Just Like That" pay tribute to a person who had a significant influence on the songwriter's life. From the opening lines, the listener is introduced to the songwriter's childhood memories of pretending to be a famous author: "Little girl, barely seven years old, I would imagine I was Carolyn Keene, Pounding chapters on a blank sheet of paper." The person the singer is paying tribute to is likely a teacher or mentor who encouraged her to pursue her dreams and reach for her full potential. The lyrics reflect on the guidance this person gave the songwriter: "And put me on a bike that you taught me to ride, 'What is this for?' I asked and you told me, 'If you wanna go far, get the basics right.'"
Later in the song, the lyrics take on a more poignant tone as the singer remembers a difficult time in her life. She recalls complaining to this person about receiving a failing grade, and they responded with an unexpected positivity: "'Aren't you glad,' you surprisingly asked me, 'That this wasn't some major test?'" The lyrics then turn to the person's passing, as the songwriter says that they "won't forget that Monday morning" when they had a final conversation about faith and fear. Throughout this song, the lyrics capture a sense of gratitude and reflection on the impact this person had on the songwriter's life.
