Livin' in a lonely world
She took the midnight train goin' anywhere
Just a city boy
Born and raised in south Detroit
He took the midnight train goin' anywhere
A singer in a smoky room
For a smile they can share the night
It goes on and on, and on, and on
Strangers waiting
Up and down the boulevard
Their shadows searching in the night
Streetlights, people
Living just to find emotion
Hiding somewhere in the night
Working hard to get my fill
Everybody wants a thrill
Payin' anything to roll the dice
Just one more time
Some will win, some will lose
Some were born to sing the blues
Oh, the movie never ends
It goes on and on, and on, and on
Strangers waiting
Up and down the boulevard
Their shadows searching in the night
Streetlights, people
Living just to find emotion
Hiding somewhere in the night
Don't stop believin'
Hold on to the feelin'
Streetlights, people
Don't stop believin'
Hold on
Streetlights, people
Don't stop believin'
Hold on to the feelin'
Streetlights, people
The song "Don't Stop Believin'" by Juxtaposition is a powerful anthem about holding onto hope and persisting through difficult times. The song starts with the introduction of two characters, a small town girl and a city boy, who take the midnight train going anywhere. They are both searching for something more in life and are willing to take risks to achieve their dreams. As they journey through life, they encounter many obstacles and challenges, but they are determined to keep going.
The second verse introduces us to a singer in a smoky room, surrounded by the smell of wine and cheap perfume. The singer and their audience are seeking connection and a way to forget their troubles, even if it's just for one night. The chorus repeats the phrase "Don't stop believin'" as a reminder to hold onto the hope and feeling that anything is possible.
The third verse speaks to the universal desire for excitement and thrills. The lyrics mention the willingness of many to bet everything they have on a chance to win big. The song acknowledges that not everyone will come out on top and some are destined to struggle, but regardless, life goes on and on and on.
The bridge of the song brings the characters and the singer together, as they all search for something more in the night. The final chorus repeats the phrase "Don't stop believin'" and ends on a note of hope and the optimism that anything is possible.
Overall, the song is a powerful message about persevering through hard times and never giving up on your dreams. It is a reminder to keep going, even when the road ahead seems daunting.
