Drawing on his distinct falsetto voice, Ké can some times leave an androgynous vocal impression, but he was, and is, considered a 'heart-throb' in many parts of the world - from Italy to Korea to South America.
He is probably best known for his 1996 hit song, anti-war anthem "Strange World". The track came from his debut album, "I Am [ ]" which also featured the follow up single "Someday".
His popularity in Europe as a cult icon was cemented in part by the fact "Strange World" sold over 3 million copies, and topped radio charts in the UK, Italy and Germany as one of the most requested songs of 1996. A dance remix of the song, by Junior Vasquez, hit #1 on the Billboard dance chart.
Ké's second album was entitled "Shiny". He opted out of his multi-album contract with RCA after they refused to promote him and the record "Shiny" properly with one executive stating "he just seems too gay... ".
Rebounding on his own with a self released "Better Way of Living", which featured a duet with Macy Gray, Ke soon thereafter decided to return to his simple roots in Kansas, tending to his small farm there while being involved in Animal Welfare Issues.
Ké maintains a MySpace profile at www.myspace.com/kstrangeworld which features new tracks not found on any of his albums.

The lyrics to Ké's song Ave Maria are a beautiful tribute to the Virgin Mary. The first verses speak of the abundance of grace that Mary has received from God. “Gratia plena” means “full of grace”, and it is used twice to emphasize the magnitude of this grace. The lyrics then go on to address Mary directly, acknowledging her as the favored one of God, and asking for her intercession. “Ave, ave dominus” means “Hail, hail Lord”, acknowledging God's power and sovereignty, and recognizing Mary's unique relationship with Him.
The second part of the song is a straightforward prayer, asking for Mary's help and protection. “Mater Dei” means “Mother of God”, affirming her status as the mother of Jesus Christ. The phrase “Ora pro nobis” means “pray for us”, asking Mary to pray for all sinners, including the singer. The repetition of the phrase “Et in hora mortis nostrae” emphasizes that this prayer is for protection in life and in death.
Overall, Ké's Ave Maria is a beautiful and heartfelt expression of faith and devotion to Mary, asking for her help and intercession in a simple and profound way.

Bring your light to this darkened room
'cos I don't remember what I'm supposed to do
I need you now, I need you know
When I can't bring myself to care
when no-one's left to show me how
I need you now, I need you now
I need you know
Mary mother, Mary, fill up this emptiness I feel
I'm too tired with my soul stripped bare
The fires of hell can't burn me now
When I can't bring myself to care
when no-one's left to show me how
I need you now, I need you now
I need you know
