Among the hardest survival
I have endured hardships that many people would not be able to survive.

Learn from these streets, it can be bleak
My experiences in life have taught me that the world can be tough and unforgiving.

I refuse to accept defeat in the face of adversity, and I will never give up or retreat.

So we struggling, fighting to eat
We face daily struggles to survive and put food on the table for ourselves and our families.

And we wondering when we'll be free
We live in hope that one day we will be free from the hardships that we face.

So we patiently wait for that fateful day
While we wait for that day to come, we remain patient and persistent in our pursuit of freedom and a better life.

It's not far away, but for now we say
We believe that our freedom and liberation is just around the corner, but until then, we keep fighting with hope in our hearts.

So many wars, settling scores
Conflict and competition have caused numerous wars and disputes, leaving many people impoverished and hopeless.

Bringing us promises, leaving us poor
Promises of a better future have often led to disappointment and poverty, leaving many people worse off than they were before.

I heard them say, 'love is the way'
Some people say that love is the answer to our problems.

'Love is the answer,' that's what they say
Love is often touted as the solution to our struggles and hardships.

But look how they treat us, make us believers
Despite their claims of love and compassion, those in power often mistreat and manipulate those that they govern.

We fight their battles, then they deceive us
The oppressed are often forced to fight for the oppressor's causes, only to be left betrayed and disillusioned.

Try to control us, they couldn't hold us
Those in power may try to control us through force and oppression, but we refuse to be held down.

'Cause we just move forward like Buffalo Soldiers
Like the Buffalo Soldiers who fought for their freedom in the American West, we remain steadfast in our pursuit of liberation.

And everybody will be singing it
When we finally achieve freedom, it will be celebrated by everyone, and our story will be sung for generations to come.

And you and I will be singing it
As individuals, we will each have played a role in the struggle for freedom, and we will all share in the triumph of the moment.

And we all will be singing it
Together, as a community, we will sing the praises of our efforts to overcome oppression and find freedom.

Just like a wavin' flag
The waving flag represents our triumph over adversity and the struggles we have faced, and a symbol of our hope for a better future.
