Overall Meaning

These lyrics from K.I.N.E.T.I.K's song "As Long As I Live" pay tribute to fallen rappers who are now considered legends, such as Pop Smoke (Peewee and Woo) and Juice WRLD. The chorus repeats the phrase "Long live the legends," emphasizing the importance of remembering and honoring these artists even after their deaths. The verses mention specific rappers who have passed away, such as Robert and Josh, and calls for the release of incarcerated artists like Lil Syn.

The repetition of "Free my brother, free lil Syn" suggests a commentary on the role of the criminal justice system in perpetuating inequality and hindering the success of young musicians. The phrase "Free my heart, free my sins" could represent a desire for redemption and liberation from past mistakes. The overall tone of the song is mournful and somber, but also resilient and determined to keep the legacies of these artists alive.

Lately I've been going through a really hard time. I feel dumb ass shit, can't think n stuff, when I used to be in advanced classes and exceed in all my tests. I can't sleep. The past 3 days I've slept like 5 hours. I feel fatigued throughout the day. Anger issues. Time's when I feel evil as fuck and feel like I want to take over the world, or cause harm to those who've caused harm to me in any way. This is lately, but for almost a year now I haven't been feeling like myself. I've felt like I've been going crazy. So since I haven't been able to sleep I decided to really look deep into myself and think about the stuff I used to do back then. A whole bunch of other shit too, you know? Just really thinking deep, no matter how much it hurt to face things. Ultimately what I'm getting to is that I thought of Phutureprimitive because I used to listen to him like everyday doing hw or just whenever. Listening to this song right now, I feel alright. I feel that everything will be okay. I can't even describe it. But Phutureprimitive (forgot your real name even tho I'm from portland), if you're reading this I just want to say thank you for making this music, and I hope you will continue to do so. You have made a huge difference in someone's life.

LIve and let live. Be who you wanna be. Lets focus on the music here. Being creative helps us to be more intelligent. Where would we be without millions of different personalities. Life develops anywhere it can. Life is about differences and the uniqueness of everything and everyone. Everyones journey will be different and special in its own way. To really develop we need to not only respect another way of life but learn about others as well. Lets not be a product of our own ego.
