Adios
K.M.F.D.M_ Lyrics

I'm just a man behind a microphone
A loners Odyssey I row my boat
Rockstar lifestyle while I travel the globe
Where I lay my hat is where I call home
Through the years
Persevered
Check out my battle scars
Disappeared
Reappeared
Life has been that bizarre
Late nights closing the bar
Phat sacks phat ass cigars
Bitch do you know who we are
Do You know who we are
Baby I'm so dope
That's why they crying when I'm leaving
Like I'm the Pope
Cuz they ain't never gonna see me like I'm a ghost
And I ain't never coming back baby adios
Baby I'm so dope
That's why they crying when I'm leaving
Like I'm the Pope
Cuz they ain't never gonna see me like I'm a ghost
And I ain't never coming back baby adios
Baby I'm so dope
That's why they crying when I'm leaving
Like I'm the Pope
Cuz they ain't never gonna see me like I'm a ghost
And I ain't never coming back baby adios
Baby I'm so dope
That's why they crying when I'm leaving
Like I'm the Pope
Cuz they ain't never gonna see me like I'm a ghost
And I ain't never coming back baby adios
I can't sit back
Knowing that I gotta get that
Bread
Mothafukas put a hit my
Head
But a Mothafuka still not
Dead
That's why I got yo bitch in my
Bed
Mothafuka you heard what I said
Her legs behind her neck
I'm deep inside her damn
As she despise her man
She wants ride again
But I revised the plan
Cuz I can't ride again
I got my eye locked in
On her fine ass friend
Seems like the time to end
Oh what a time we had
Baby I'm so dope
That's why they crying when I'm leaving
Like I'm the Pope
Cuz they ain't never gonna see me like I'm a ghost
And I ain't never coming back baby adios
Baby I'm so dope
That's why they crying when I'm leaving
Like I'm the Pope
Cuz they ain't never gonna see me like I'm a ghost
And I ain't never coming back baby adios
Baby I'm so dope
That's why they crying when I'm leaving
Like I'm the Pope
Cuz they ain't never gonna see me like I'm a ghost
And I ain't never coming back baby adios
Baby I'm so dope
That's why they crying when I'm leaving
Like I'm the Pope

Cuz they ain't never gonna see me like I'm a ghost
And I ain't never coming back baby adios

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of K.M.F.D.M_'s song Adios are about a person who has had enough of a toxic relationship, where they have repeatedly put themselves on the line for the other person, spoken their mind, and faced the brunt of criticism, only to find apathy in return. They do not wish to be a part of this any longer and have burnt all bridges to distance themselves from this person. The chorus says goodbye in different languages, expressing the finality of the decision to move on.

The repetition of the phrase "it's been too many times" highlights the singer's frustration and exhaustion in dealing with the other person's behavior. The use of strong phrases like "hypocritical swine" and "apathetic crap" conveys the magnitude of the negative impact the relationship has had on the singer.

The title of the song, "Adios," is Spanish for goodbye, and the chorus offers a multi-lingual farewell. The use of different languages suggests a global appeal and a desire to express a collective "goodbye" to toxic relationships, not limited by language or location.

Overall, the song is a powerful assertion of self-worth and a call to action to distance oneself from people who bring negativity into our lives.

R.U.OK? the people grieving afterwards, and the familys blaming the killers parents.

This album has something gross and disturbing and creepy about it in a few of the songs, which is something that really struck me when I heard it. Some people hate this album or think its when KMFDM started to go downhill, but I disagree; it's got some of my favorites. Full Worm Garden will always be top of my KMFDM list.

Another interesting fact about this record was it came out the day the Columbine shooting happened. Adding to the overall disturbing feel to the album for me.

People think that? This was my first KMFDM album and its amazing. To me they went downhill after Hau Ruck.

The 11th KMFDM album, Adios, was released on 4/20/99. I was reading Eric's journals, and he wrote:

heh, get this. KMFDM's new album is entitled "Adios" and it's release date is in April. how fuckin appropriate, a subliminal final "Adios" tribute to Reb and Vodka. thanks KMFDM... I ripped the hell outa the system

I've purchased almost every KMFDM album before this one since I first heard of KMFDM in 1999. I dunno why, but I'm only listening to this album for the very first time TODAY, right here on YouTube.

Oneaphelion

Still 9/10 tracks great on this album after hearing it since 2004.
