Finally...earlier this year, with incentive from long time friends T-Roy Medlin and Jimmy Bower, K.LLOYD ventured to Norfolk, VA & New Orleans, LA to begin recording these songs for an upcoming release on Neurot Recordings. His purpose with music has been renewed and recreated in Blues/Acoustic music which is far from sounding like his earlier Buzzov-en days.
Touring will be sparse and these recordings may not see the light until later in 2008 but regardless, K.LLOYD is back.......
Carry On
K. Lloyd Lyrics

Thought I was losing you
I put you up on a shelf
Come to find out
I was losing myself
I gave it all from the start
Just to watch it all fall apart
Would've traveled the oceans
I tried
To fight
Make things right
But they weren't meant to be
Don't want to live like that
Can't get my heart attached
Don't leave and come right back
It's time to carry on
Don't want to live like that
Can't get my heart attached
Don't leave and come right back
It's time to carry on
Lately I've been focused
Didn't even notice all the shade they threw
I just let that shit go yeah yeah
Can't even pay attention
I'm onto bigger and better things did I mention
I got so fed up that I got my bread up
Looked in the mirror and told her don't let up
I told her don't let up now we're up and we made it I can say that shit proud
Where we at right now?
I ain't goin down no
No no no no no
Don't want to live like that
Can't get my heart attached
Don't leave and come right back
It's time to carry on
Don't want to live like that
Can't get my heart attached
Don't leave and come right back
It's time to carry on
Finding my closure
Knowing It's never really over
Reaching the dreams I'm getting closer
Let go of lust
Learning to trust
Learning to love you
And I'll carry on
Don't want to live like that
Can't get my heart attached
Don't leave and come right back
It's time to carry on
Don't want to live like that
Can't get my heart attached
Don't leave and come right back
It's time to carry on
The lyrics to K. Lloyd's song "Carry On" are about a relationship that has fallen apart and the singer's determination to move on. At one point, the singer felt confused and thought they were losing their partner, but in reality, they were losing themselves. The singer had given their all to the relationship, but it still fell apart. They would have gone to great lengths to save the love they had, but it wasn't meant to be. The singer tried to make things right, but it wasn't enough, and they realize it's time to move on.
The song then takes a turn towards the singer's personal growth. They've been focusing on themselves and their own goals, letting go of the "shade" others have thrown their way. The singer has worked hard to improve their life and is proud of where they are now. They've learned to let go of material desires and trust others. They've reached a point where they've found closure and are getting closer to their dreams. The song ends with the singer accepting that it's time to "carry on" and move forward.
Overall, "Carry On" is a song about personal growth and acceptance. It tells the story of a relationship that has ended, but instead of dwelling on it, the singer looks to the future and focuses on their own path in life.
