Got a full cup, don't give a fuck, oh no, oh no
Oh, it'll be too long cause when you're gone and I get home
I need to get on you, on you
Is it your good looks or your lips below that make me blow
Is it the way you act like you don't care
When I'm the only one who kiss you there, oh
Something about the night
Might let you come in
Just might let you come in
Something about the night
That keep me coming
That keep me coming
Oh, I got my butter cake all in your face
My ovens hot, just watch me bake
Good lord, oh
Oh and eat it up and lick the plate
You know you just can't have one taste, no
No, no, no, no
Is it your good looks or your lips below that make me blow
Is it the way you act like you don't care
When I'm the only one who kiss you there, oh
Something about the night
Might let you come in
Just might let you come in
Something about the night
That keep me coming
That keep me coming
Something about the night
I just wanna ride, I just wanna ride
Something about the night
It's a different kinda high, different kinda high
Something about the night
Might let you come in
Might let you come in
Something about the night
That keep me coming
That keep me coming
Something about tonight
I just wanna ride, I just wanna ride
Something about the night
Different kinda high, different kinda high
In K. Michelle's song "Something About the Night," the singer expresses her desire for intimacy with her lover. She wants to roll up some weed, pull her hair up, and enjoy a drink. She needs to be with her lover as she feels incomplete when they are not together. She wonders if it's his physical appearance or the way he behaves that makes her go wild. She's aware that she's the only one who kisses him in a particular place, and it feels like he doesn't care as much as she does.
K. Michelle is fascinated by something about the night that lures her to have sex with her lover. She may let him enter and experience the intimacy she has to offer. She's ready to serve him her delicious butter cake and wants him to lick the plate as he wouldn't want to settle for just one taste. There is something unique about the night that attracts K. Michelle, and that makes her feel like she's riding on a different kind of high. The night has a different energy that entices her to want more of her lover.
