Oh baby , If I could Explain the joy I feel

Oh If I could explain the joy I feel
All this love making is oh so real
Oh like winter time by the fireplace
Oh like trapped in walls and its no escape
Oh like a precious jewel with no price tag
Oh like waterfalls comin' down on me
Oh like tidal wave comin' from the sea
Oh like a favorite scene in a big movie

You wanna know how I feel just like that, just like that baby (Oh)
You wanna know how I feel just like that, just like that baby (If you wanna know)
You wanna know how I feel just like that, just like that baby (Oh just like)
You wanna know how I feel just like that, just like that baby

Oh like you and me makin' history baby
Oh like a 99th anniversary
Oh like a baby when it speaks its first words
Oh like an uplifting song the first time heard
Oh like a shelter when the storm gets ruff
Oh like a mountain top from the bottom up
Oh like an expensive suite at the best hotel
Oh like a work of art when its unveiled

You wanna know how I feel, just like that, just like that baby (like that )
You wanna know how I feel, just like that, just like that baby (oh oh oh oh oh, If you wanna know)
You wanna know how I feel, just like that, just like that baby (just like that yeah)
You wanna know how I feel, just like that, just like that (Oh)

Oh like a great blue sky's on a summer day
Oh like sitting close in a small cafe
Oh like making love to someone you love
Oh like breaking up then making up
Oh like a warm embrace when you come around
Oh like the sweetest words when your feeling down
Oh like lost inside of a mascaraed
Oh like a celebration in a big parade
Oh like a secret told to the one you trust
Oh like kissing you in a all white tux

You wanna know how I feel, just like that, just like that baby (If you wanna know)
You wanna know how I feel, just like that, just like that baby (Just like that, if you wanna know)
You wanna know how I feel, just like that, just like that baby (Just like that)
You wanna know how I feel, just like that, just like that

Like the moon, yeah when it glows at night,
And like the sun oh yeah when it shines real bright,

And just like the ocean when the well comes high,
Like an eagle when it soars in the sky

Overall Meaning

In K.r.s.-one's song "Just Like That", the lyrics describe the singer's inability to put into words the intense joy and happiness they feel. The song's chorus repeats the phrase "You wanna know how I feel just like that, just like that baby," emphasizing the singer's desire to communicate their emotions without being able to fully articulate them. The verses use a variety of metaphors to convey this feeling: love making, sitting by the fireplace in winter, being trapped, and experiencing a tidal wave or a favorite movie scene. The metaphors progress to describing historical events, a young child's first words, and the positive impact of music.

The singer continues to use various metaphors to try and express their feelings, including finding shelter from a storm, reaching a mountain top, staying in a luxurious hotel suite, and witnessing an artistic masterpiece. Later, the lyrics describe the pure joy of experiencing a great blue sky on a summer day, a close moment in a small café, making love to someone you love, and breaking up and then making up. The final similes used to communicate the singer's emotions are the moon when it glows, the sun when it shines brightly, the ocean during a high tide, and an eagle soaring in the sky.

Overall, the song captures the intense feeling one has when they are overcome with joy and happiness but struggle to put it into words. Through various metaphors and similes, the singer conveys the magnitude of their feelings and the desire to share them.

KRS Just like that

[Intro]
You know, you don't see with your eyes
You see with your brain
And the more words your brain has
The more things you can see

[Verse 1]
Yes yes y'all, it don't stop, it can't stop, it won't stop
We used to be there rapping on the block
It was like hip-hop would never stop
But then we all got older, and a little bit bolder
The streets of New York got a little bit colder
I'm a young dude, I gotta learn and get over
1980, Brooklyn is crazy in the dark
But there I am in Wingate Park
Jamming to the DJs creating this art
I'm on E, but I'm free and I wanna be part
So I gotta be smart and then it just sparked
I'mma start with my heart, achieving the mark
Of being the number one MC on the chart
So on your mark get ready go
I Rock Steadied the show with DJ Scott La Rock, you already know
Yo, these were the days when bands were elected
Based on the jams they selected so check it
This man got respected
When fans detected that the South Bronx
Was the new answer record

[Hook]
And just like that, just like that, just like that
I speak into the air and
Just like that, just like that, just like that
My dreams they did appear so
Just like that, just like that, just like that
You speak into the air and
Just like that, just like that, just like that
Your dreams they will appear so

[Verse 2]
Just like that I was right on top
Me and Scott La Rock but then Scott La Rock got shot
I can hear him echoing: "hip-hop don't stop"
But we was getting robbed like a bank with no lock
By a record company that was taking a lot
People blaming us and shaming us, but then it all stopped
When By All Means Necessary dropped
It was like the whole damn hip-hop culture stopped
But that's when the vultures dropped, from the culture shock
Because we was showing people how they supposed to rock
With their hands in the air and they mouth on scream
But in '81 this was just a dream
But we kept dreaming, kept decreeing, kept seeing
Kept being hip-hop, breaking, MCing
Graffiti writing, DJing on the weekend
It's the proper use of your mind I'm teaching

[Hook]

[Verse 3]
Just like that, I began to see
The true force and the power of M-I-N-D
Now I am free and yes I can be
The amazing MC I saw in 81
Back then I was the crazy one
Even the lazy one, the not sure, the maybe one
Now today I'm the sure one, the on tour one
The raw one, the one you want more from
But it was all a dream
Now this brother's on the cover of Word Up magazine
Hanging fliers on my wall
Boogie Down Productions vs MC Shan and Marley Marl
You know my tape rocks, I don't say pop
If I couldn't find OE, then I got the Private Stock
Way back where them Dapper Dan jackets at
With the hat to match, all that

[Hook]

[Verse 4]
Just like that, now it's '91
And the West Coast Era now has just begun
And you can't run, crack cocaine affects everyone
Now we know the military, they brought in several tons
Forget them old guns they brought in better ones
The name of this new game is stack your set of ones
For me I remember 1981
When I first wanted to rap it was mainly fun
But hip-hop was made to run
So them dudes that think it's all about money their day will come
And it comes for many, and it's scary
To learn your whole career was really temporary
But on the contrary we can look at the past
And see the major recording artists that didn't last
But here comes the blast, in order to last
Be the real you, man, take off the mask

I grew up with 50 cent eminem got me in the door then I think some one said something to me about being a white kid listening to black music this was late 90s in junior school didn't think much of it and my dad was always into ska grew up a bit more went to the stabbed stabbed your nan up rap/grime went jail then started my history of music musically we have always been apart of each other ska for instance is the same blues is the same motown is the same even jungle and drum and bass brand all people together race to me is bullshit because even in nature you can get two different colours of the same species and still be in that species so when some one says what race are is basically asing if your home sapien or not.
