When I was in Attica, I had a skinny little black guy like this. Try to press up on me little did he know if you stepped within punching distance from me on some bullshit I was going to clean your clock they ended up dragging him away… never judge a book by their cover. He was the only one that ever tried me, and he learned quick not every white boy is soft. Most of the time black guys in jail can’t fight, and they can’t take a punch… not all of them , but a lot of them.. I’ve seen it first hand multiple times.. they believe in strength and numbers and a lot of them are uneducated and don’t understand that everyone has a past and anyone can get violent if need be.. trust me I’ve seen it firsthand. I came home from Attica 2010… the trick is to not give a shit being in the right, or being in the wrong is what it all comes down to if somebody tries to press up on you and you clean their clock. The good guys will come to back you up whether you’re going up against a gang or not, somebody will step up for you and you won’t be alone if you stood up for yourself that’s just the reality of it… you will have to become “friends” with these people if they back you up, that’s a given, but there’s no better way to earn respect and standing up for yourself and not being a bitch.. you got two choices either give up your shit or fight. Nobody was ever going to take my shit from me. That was never gonna happen. You would have to kill me first. I’m not one to tell stories I have all the paperwork of my incident that One gained me a lot of respect .. the guy I knocked out was named “ black” .. I instantly knew there was nothing special about him because over my bids eight out of 10 guys named Black we’re just sheep, and there was nothing sophisticated or special about them and I saw that he was a follower not a leader, so I had no problem punching him in his shit.. honestly looking back I guess I do call myself a tough guy because I’ve seen firsthand Work guys fold like origami when the pressure is on and it comes time to fight they just don’t have it in them. I’ve seen it from both colors, black and white… make no mistake about it, though some of the hardest prisoners I’ve ever met ever were white guys.. who had black guys terrified of them.. you don’t see that though until you get behind the wall and you’re with all the murderers intimidation, and the way you carry yourself is everything.. you can tell that this white guy is not a hard and criminal and he doesn’t understand jail because just approaching somebody with your hands on your cock is disrespect and that’s a reason to fight right there.. but the thing about prison is you have to be willing to go to any length any measure you have to be willing to use a weapon if need be, but when you’re there you’re all alone, there’s none of your friends from the streets and the only people you have are the ones you think you can trust in there and yourself but they will always try to catch you when you’re alone that’s why you have to be literally ready to rip somebody’s throat out if you have to people instantly with me I was going to fight, but that also makes you a target because people will stab you in the neck when you’re not looking.. I don’t recommend prison to everybody. It’s a very stressful place and I’m very happy to say that I haven’t gone back since I left and I’ve been living a good honest life and I have a family now.

I did 17 & 1/2 behind the wall. Been to not only Attica AND Corcoran, but half of the max sec US Fed Pens in this country, coast-to-coast. This is a fact: the second another man even entertains the fantasy of punking you out, you better handle your business with a level of ferocity that exceeds that other man's capacity for violence, his willingness to go all the way, or you're through.
