Su familia empezó a grabar todo lo que Kevin hacia y ese material quedo archivado para más adelante mostrar sus actitudes de artista.
Desde lo tres años de edad comenzó su vida artística y sus padre le escribía todas las canciones que el interpretaba. Cuatro años después participó con una canción en una de las tarimas de la mega y fue allí donde se dieron cuenta del profesionalismo y la originalidad de este muchacho.
Después comenzaron los programas de radio y la secretaria de educación lanzó un programa para niños de escasos recursos a que estudiaran y allí realizo jingle. Después canto y viajo por muchos lugares del país y en el 2004 canto junto a Don Omar.
Ahora Kevin Flórez no solo canta y baila también compone temas muy románticos como te quiero, no te fallare, latió mi corazón, entre otras. Kevin Flórez rodríguez comenzó a hacer beat box desde muy niño en su natal Cartagena, donde comenzaban a llamarle “Kevin Rap”, luego al recibir cierto reconocimiento en el mundo del hip hop colombiano, también se le conoció como el “NIÑO DEL RAP”. Con solo 5 años de edad hizo su primera actuación en público, esta se llevó a cabo en un prestigioso hotel de su ciudad. A los 10 años ya empezaba a proyectarse como rapero y a participar en distintos eventos adquiriendo a la vez experiencia en el escenario. En el año 2001 se enfrentó a su primer gran reto, presentarse en la Plaza de Toros Cartagena de Indias, frente a más de 2000 asistentes, donde fue telonero del grupo revelación del momento “escarcha”, proyecto que nació en el reality del canal caracol “pop Stars”. Pero fue en el 2004 cuando hizo su entrada triunfal a la escena musical tras ser invitado a abrir el show de los artistas internacionales Sean Paul y Don Omar, concierto que también tuvo lugar en el mismo escenario. Kevin ha tenido la oportunidad de hacer varios featurings con artistas y productores musicales tales como, Julio Cesar Meza, Big Yamo, Goodfellaz, Dj Zafa (República Dominicana) Dj Dever, Dj Vancho, entre otros. En El 2009 ya con su mayoría de edad, Kevin Flórez decide radicarse en la capital de es manera expandir su carrera musical ya establecida en la región Caribe y proyectarse a nivel nacional e intencional.
