Thunder
KIDZ BOP Kids Lyrics

I was uptight, wanna let loose
I was dreaming of bigger things and
Wanna leave my old life behind
Not a yes sir, not a follower
Fit the box, fit the mold, have a seat in the foyer
Take a number
I was lightning before the thunder
Thunder, feel the thunder
Lightning then the thunder
Thunder, feel the thunder
Lightning then the thunder, thunder, thunder
Thunder
Kids were laughing in my classes
While I was scheming for the masses
Who do you think you are?
Dreaming 'bout being a big star
They say you're basic, they say it's easy
You're always riding in the backseat
Now I'm smiling from the stage while
You were clapping in the hills we'd
Thunder, feel the thunder
Lightning then the thunder
Thunder, feel the thunder
Lightning then the thunder, thunder
Thunder, feel the thunder
Lightning then the thunder, thunder
Thunder, feel the thunder
Lightning then the thunder, thunder
Thunder, feel the thunder
Lightning then the thunder, thunder
Thunder, feel the thunder (never give up, never give up, never give up)
Lightning then the thunder, thunder
Thunder, feel the thunder (never give up, never give up, never give up)
Lightning then the thunder, thunder
In the song "Thunder" by KIDZ BOP Kids, the lyrics tell a story of a young person who feels confined and restricted by their old life. They have a desire to be something more and to chase after their dreams of becoming a big star. The lyrics express a longing for change, as the person is no longer content with being just another follower who fits into the mold created by society. They want to break free and find their own path in life. The repeated mention of lightning before the thunder creates a sense of urgency and anticipation for the change to come.
The lyrics also address the ridicule and doubts that the young person faces from others, particularly those in their classes who see them as being basic and easy. Despite this, the person remains determined to succeed and prove their doubters wrong. The line "Now I'm smiling from the stage while you were clapping in the hills we'd" suggests that the person has indeed reached their goal of becoming a big star and is now performing on stage, while their doubters remain in obscurity.
Overall, the song encourages listeners to pursue their dreams and never give up, no matter how difficult the journey may be. It emphasizes the importance of staying true to oneself and not conforming to the expectations of others.
