I think of my dad when this plays. He used to drive me around so much. My favorite part going home was the highway with the beautiful sunset on sugarcane fields. Every time I hear it, I remind myself when I was coming back from youth exchange in Norway.
Due to kinda strict organisers and isolate location, we all became more than just a bunch of random teens all over the world. We played mafia every other day and talked about everything in the world as if we all were long time friends. I remember a day when we replied to anything with "that's what she said!!!" text, literally dying from laughter... Swimming in a cold lake, drinking some beverage in hiding after bedtime and admiring the wilderness of Norway...
I couldn't move on for a week, tearing up from the memories. I managed to catch up with some of them afterwards, but nothing like it will happen ever again... That mix of adventure, freedom and vibe you only have when you're young. Miss you guys.

When I was 9, my mom was at work and I was home alone with my two younger siblings. Was a sunny day when suddenly a storm came, it was around 3p.m. and the sky got completely red, it was so winding that the umbrella form my neighbour's pool flew to my garden, there wasn't anyone walking on the streets because it was impossible. I was sure that it was the end of the world and looking at my siblings crying I thought that if it was really the end of the world it should be worthy, so I decided to get some ice cream and I forced them to play Monopoly, which calmed us down. After two hours playing and laughing we realized that the sky was blue again. This song brought me right back at that moment, which I didn't remember until a week ago and as I listen to it I wish I would be as wise as that little 9 years old kid. Where did he go?

Journal your memories as they come back to you of him. Losing memories can be like losing that person all over again. I'm sorry for your loss though. Some things can never be replaced and will always be missed. I never knew what it meant when people would say that someone else had a piece of them until I lost someone I loved. This is unbelievable how it feels when I hear something like this. It is a feeling of something that is very difficult to explain in words.
It` s like when you are falling asleep. This carries this weirdly effective collective of nostalgia, lucidity, disassociation, the novelty of traveling, and "sehnsucht", a difficult to translate German word meaning something like utopian longing. It's little wonder that the other commenters are associating the song with dying, which carries the same emotional connotations.

This results in a kind of clarity where I'm reminded that I, writing this comment on 17 July, 2020, am not living my life to it's fullest potential. I might be in my twenties but I am pissing away my youth and what time I have.

When I hear this, I can't help but think of things I wish i could do, choices I wish I had made, all the goals I was never able to reach, the people I will never get to see again, all of my failures and those who i've let down.

At the same time I think about all of the different things i've accomplished, all the amazing people i've met along the way, all the wonderful memories i've made and all the things I have learned.

What a strange, yet beautiful song.

This song reminds me of being on an airplane for the first time headed across the Country to see my long distance boyfriend for the first time ever. My stomach was like a slushee machine and I was so nervous I felt like vomiting every time they announced how much time until the plane landed. There’s something to this song. It’s the continuation and addition of layers which makes this simple tune a complex and beautiful one. When the complexity is increasing a vocal hum comes along to calm it all down. Then she says “and it went like” exposing the complexity of the tune and accepting it all . Kid francescoli has created a masterpiece with all the layering. You can experience nostalgia, euphoria and calmness all at once in this song.

To me this hum is very motherly. Like a mother calming her child. Also you can hear jingles interspersed in the middle in random.

Haven't got a clue as to where I'll be in 5 years, I've got nothing to live for. I ignored my chronic depression since my teens, thinking everyone must've felt as numb as I've always been. I'm as fucked up as I've ever been, I left my depression go untreated and I'm fucked for life, no ambition, no empathy, no happiness is all that defines me. Sometimes I even wonder what I'm still doing here. I ask myself if I should've jumped from my balcony a couple years ago, not existing seems so much better than living in pain.
But at least I have music and tracks like this one makes me feel understood and a bit less alone. So I want to thank you for that. That's all I have for now but I'm grateful that it's there for me :)

Out of all the things that helped me through my depression, just remember that every single person who has attempted suicide and lived say they regretted it as soon as they commenced whatever option they decided on. Its 6:03 am here where i am, through this pandamic we all go through from the human race, feels like I'm the only one vibing to the moon. I have burried my feelings for years. I thought them to be wrong. I created a mask, a fake persona to wear around everywhere and everytime. Even at home, even alone. Never did I allow myself to be truly me. I am now at a point of my life where I figured this out and am beginning to accept my true self and to love it. For years I was so controlling of my every emotion that I did not cry a single time, even when it felt like my body and soul wanted me to cry more than anything else in the world.

I am probably listening to this song for the thousands time right now. Suddenly I start to cry tears of Joy. I start laughing and just keeping on crying.
It is not that song that made me do this. It just helped me to finally let out my emotions, after I learned to understand and accept them.

I feel just so damn happy right now. And this song will always be here to make me feel this moment again...

Don't expect anyone to read this or to reply to this. Just had to put this out there

This reminds me of a night road trip where everybody but you is asleep. Hardly anyone is out at this time. You look back at everyone and smile. You have three kids. Two daughters and a son, and husband/wife. Your kids all in the backseat sleeping. Your wife/husband's head is on the window. You are just vibing to music finally at peace with yourself.

Edit: just so everyone knows, this is not a real experience I had. This is just a thought. A "what if" if you may. Just wanted to make that clear.

The power of this song is absolutely incredible. It's fascinating sitting here reading everybody's thoughts and stories relating to this song. Music has always been more than sound to me. It's this universal language that we can all understand and feel, yet it's also a totally individual experience. The feelings this song gives me come from a place beyond this world..
