I have that original German album. On vinyl, bought it myself in Germany when I was there on holiday, back in the day.

This song right here is everything!! I first heard it when USA about 15 years old. In New York, especially for Queens and Brooklyn, we were heavy into the dance called the hustle. We use to have hustle contests at night in a light up park. When this strangely fly ass song came on with that unique intro came on, made by some European dudes We went wild. The intro put us into a trance; and we would begin our serious business of the dance. It was on and poppin and the spins and dips and the flawless twirling and footwork in sync with our partners... there was nothing like it! A shout out to Jamaica Park( Hollis Queens) yerrr!!!

As a 14 year old kid in the Bronx, I borrowed this album from my Uncles girlfriend. It still stands the test of time. Back then I would just listen to this song again and again and thought it was the best beat I had ever heard( 1977) NYC, in the Bronx we were light years ahead in terms of exposure.

I have been searching for this for years. I would hear this at Xenon in NYC in the late 70's. They would play disco and then around 2am, they would switch to New Wave and would play this. Amazing time when music was experimental and original.

I tell folks about Kraftwerk and no one have a clue who they are. I tell them they are pioneers that put hip hop music on the map at it's birth. When I tell them they are a German group they think I'm lying....LOL. I still have Kraftwerk "Computer Love" album and "Electric Cafe" album both are classic in the techno music. They played it a lot in Detroit in the early 80's.

My first days in the army in basic training I would play this on my little boom box and the brother from NYC looked at my white California ass and was amazed I knew this band. He said he danced in the clubs to it while I use to experiment with drugs to this stuff. We were buddies from then on with this music being the connection.

Leslie Robinson I am not saying they were the originators of hip hop, but they greatly influenced the early hip hop culture, especially when it is kept clean and yes i do have to go mainstream cause that is where it counts all over. Not taking away from under ground and the street corners of New York at all. Bottom line is that Kraftwerk influenced many and much of their music was greatly sampled a lot starting with this one. .So to clear my point to you is this they greatly influenced many mainstream hip hop artsits from back in the day and even now. That's all I am saying.

This kind of music ISN'T of this Earth! SOMEONE from far away across the universe MUST have inspired Kraftwerk to write not only THIS song, but ALL their music from the beginning of their careers, until NOW.
