Worldwide Love
Kabaka Pyramid Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Spoken: When we speak of love, it's not just something you have for one person. Love is impartial. It's immaterial, it can't be divided, you know?

Kabaka Pyramid again...

I'm singing of a world wide love
From the seeds in the ground to the skies up above
This is a world wide love
Not just my family and friends, all me enemies me send
This here world wide love
For the rich or for the poor
Still me give you more
Of this world wide love
Do away with the hate and grudge

We are a human race
Many different colors, many hues and shades
Some hair picky some smooth and straight
But the same blood flow in our tubes and veins
Tell me if you ever saw love separate
Living as one that our ultimate fate
I no see why them ah try dominate
Love is at the source where the I life create
No matter what's the time or place

In this world wide love
From the seeds in the ground to the skies up above
This is a world wide love
Not just my family and friends, all me enemies me send
This here world wide love
For the rich or for the poor
Still me give you more
Of this world wide love
Let's do away with the hate and grudge

You love, you no partial
Love for the soldier, the police and the corporal
This next generation of youths are not normal
Love and I-nity what how you live it to royal
I love in I-ah soul and a soul is immortal
Don't get me wrong me love my blackness
But spiritually there is only one exactness
What is immaterial can never be separated and that's a fact

Yes me say we need world wide love
From the seeds in the ground to the skies up above
This is a world wide love
Not just my family and friends, all me enemies me send
This here world wide love
For the rich or for the poor
Still me give you more
Of this world wide love
Let's do away with the hate and grudge

Love and the power of attraction
Bind us together like the web the spider sat ‘pon
It different from affection
It different from infatuation, any verb or any action
Many lurking, many factions
Many religions try for tell you what is love and them no got none
I beg you look in I-ah heart
Be careful what you put in I-ah thought, be smart

And sing for the world wide love
From the seeds in the ground to the skies up above
This is a world wide love
For all my family and friends, all me enemies me send
This here world wide love
For the rich or for the poor
Still me give you more
Of this world wide love
Nah, nah, nah, hey, hey

World wide love, that is what I'm giving
World wide love, naah do no killing
World wide love never paid a shilling
No, no, no, hey, hey
World wide love, Take it to China
Some to Australia,
North and South America
Then a Europe share, but to Africa we spreading

This here world wide love
From the seeds in the ground to the skies up above
This is a world wide love
For the rich or for the poor
Still me give you more
Of this world wide love
Not just my family and friends, me enemies me send

This here world wide love
Nah, nah, nah, nah, hey, hey

Overall Meaning

In "Worldwide Love," Kabaka Pyramid advocates for love as the ultimate solution to the world's problems. He explains that love cannot be compartmentalized or limited to only some people, but instead should be universal and all-encompassing. He encourages the listener to imagine a world where love reigns, where people of all colors, backgrounds, and beliefs are bound together by the power of love. He suggests that love is not just an emotion, but a force that binds us all together like a web the spider sits upon. Kabaka Pyramid believes that if we truly love one another, hatred and animosity will be eradicated, and we will all live as one.

The song is filled with metaphors and descriptions of how love can unify us all. He says that love is impartial, immaterial, and cannot be divided. He points out that though we may have different appearances and come from different places, we are all part of the same human race, and love can be the unifying factor. He argues that love is not just for the rich, but for the poor, and should be given freely without cost.

"Worldwide Love" is a call to action for individuals to embrace love as a way of life, to try to give more love than they receive, and to do away with any hate or grudges they may have towards others. Kabaka Pyramid's lyrics are a reminder that, no matter what is happening in the world, love can always be found and spread.

Why Is this not being played on sound systems worldwide at a time like this ? ! It should be the new hot track for 2020 . I show this to every person I can because its the only way to end the nonsense . A lot of people will rock to Bob Marley's One love in a bar or club but they don't practice it . Big respect to Kabaka Pyramid for this thoughtful masterpiece .
