In these lyrics, Kable talks about the promises that were made to him by someone he loved and trusted. He believed in these promises even though he suspects that they are not true. He is unable to see the truth because of his love for this person. Kable begs this person to stop lying and to tell him that it's over because it would be better for both of them. But despite knowing that, he still loves this person and cannot bear the thought of being apart from them.
Kable continues to plead with this person to hold him tightly and never leave again because he had believed them before when they said they would always be there for him. Despite the pain and deception, he acknowledges that this person taught him how to smile and he will always remember them for that. However, in the end, Kable is left wondering why this person has to leave him once again.
This song portrays the pain of betrayal and the desperation that follows when one's love is not reciprocated. It paints a picture of someone who is struggling to come to terms with the end of a relationship, and the emotional turmoil that follows.
