Rainbow

It ain't rainin' anymore, it's hard to breathe when all you know is
The struggle of staying above the rising water line
Well, the sky is finally open, the rain and wind stopped blowin'
But you're stuck out in the same ol' storm again
You hold tight to your umbrella, well, darlin' I'm just tryin' to tell ya
That there's always been a rainbow hangin' over your head
If you could see what I see, you'd be blinded by the colors
Yellow, red, and orange, and green, and at least a million others
So tie up the boat, take off your coat, and take a look around
'Cause the sky is finally open, the rain and wind stopped blown'
But you're stuck out in the same ol' storm again
You hold tight to your umbrella, well, darlin' I'm just tryin' to tell ya
That there's always been a rainbow hangin' over your head
Oh, tie up the boat, take off your coat, and take a look around
Everything is alright now
'Cause the sky has finally opened, the rain and wind stopped blowin'
But you're stuck out in the same ol' storm again
Let go of your umbrella, 'cause darlin', I'm just tryin' to tell ya
That there's always been a rainbow hangin' over your head
Yeah, there's always been a rainbow hangin' over your head
It'll all be alright
"Rainbow" by Kacey Musgraves is an uplifting and inspiring song about hope and positivity. The opening verse refers to a difficult and trying time when it feels like nothing is going right, and the clouds seem to be constantly hovering above. However, the chorus reminds the listener that there is always a rainbow hanging over their head, representing the bright and positive things that are waiting for them. The second verse is a call to action to stop and take notice of the beauty around and let go of any fears or worries that are holding them back.
The lyrics can be interpreted as a message of hope and encouragement to those who may feel stuck or discouraged in their current situation. Musgraves reminds us that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel and to not let our struggles define us. The rainbow represents the many colors of life, both good and bad, and serves as a reminder to embrace all aspects of life.
Overall, "Rainbow" is a powerful song that seeks to uplift and inspire listeners to push through tough times and embrace the beauty of life.

I said goodbye to my beautiful wife today after losing her to breast cancer. While looking for music for her funeral, I came across this on an iTunes playlist she made in her final weeks. I had not heard it before, but it was like the warm hug I wanted but can no longer have from her. I know this song gave her strength and I feel like she left it for me. ❤️

You are so right. I was just thinking how do you keep your sanity and center if you were the artist and seeing the emotions it evokes from people. I would have to pause for a minute.
