She was born and raised in Clearwater, Florida, part of the Tampa Bay region. She is of Italian-American and Spanish-American ancestry. Battaglia began singing when she was three years old and soon began attending various performance camps around Florida. She is an only child.
At age 10, Kaci independently released "A Thousand Stars," an album that was produced by her mother. A portion of the proceeds from "A Thousand Stars," went to help a housing project for the less fortunate. Kaci began looking for a recording contract when she was eleven years old, due to the success of her independent album. She caught the eye of Curb Records' head Mike Curb and was signed after giving them a performance. Her debut single, "Paradise" was released in 2001. Her debut album, "I'm Not Anybody's Girl" was released later in 2002. She released the same album in the UK under the name of "Paradise," the year before. Kaci's second single was a cover of David Cassidy's, "I Think I Love You". It was released around the same time of his own daughter, Katie Cassidy's cover of the same song. In 2003, Kaci teamed up with a Japanese photographer and released a photo book entitled, "Kaci: I'm A Singer." This photo book was filled with pictures of Kaci while in her hometown in Florida. The book was released exclusively in Japan, along with a re-release of her album, "Paradise," that included a bonus DVD with her music videos and clips from the making of the photo book. In 2005, Kaci recorded a song for the movie, "The Perfect Man" called "I will Learn To Love Again." In 2007, Kaci released, "I Can't Help Myself," a track that was released to dance radio stations. Kaci is currently recording her next album.

Call me crazy, I thought I saw you touching my guy
Are you crazy, maybe I should take you outside and show you crazy
Ooh I got your crazy…
A little hazy, maybe I'm just losing my mind
I think your shady, I know that you've been calling my guy
Are you crazy, now I'm gonna take you outside and show you crazy
CH:
Call my man again and I'm a fuck you up, and I'm a fuck you up,
and I'm fuck you up
Touch my man again and I'm a fuck you up, and I'm a fuck you up…
And then you call me your best friend
And then you call me your best friend
Verse 2:
Call me crazy, but every time that I turn around
You're on my baby, ooh but I'm his lady
Am I possessive, just because I'm claiming what's mine
You're crossing the line
Why are you constantly calling him up
To pick you up
Let me know now
How can you call me your best friend
Then turn around secretly text him
You call me crazy
Ooh I got your crazy
CH:
Call my man again and I'm a fuck you up,
and I'm a fuck you up, and I'm fuck you up
Touch my man again and I'm a fuck you up, and I'm a fuck you up…
Call my man again and I'm a fuck you up, and I'm a fuck you up,
and I'm fuck you up
Touch my man again and I'm a fuck you up, and I'm a fuck you up…
And then you call me your best frie nd
And then you call me your best friend
Bridge:
They call me crazy, they say I'm crazy
(I know you are, but what am I? I know you are but what am I?)
They call me crazy, I think I'm crazy
(I know you are, but what am I? I know you are but what am I?)
Ooh I got your crazy!
The song "Crazy Possessive" by Kaci Battaglia is essentially about a woman who is jealous of her partner's female friend who she believes is trying to steal him away from her. The first verse opens with the singer expressing her doubts about her own sanity. She is feeling delusional and is convinced that she saw her partner's female friend touching him. In the chorus, she threatens the other woman, warning her to leave her man alone, or she will "fuck her up."
In the second verse, the singer becomes more aggressive towards her partner's female friend, questioning why she is always calling her man and trying to meet up with him. She also confronts her friend for calling her "crazy" and secretly texting her man. The song concludes with the singer taunting the other woman and affirming her obsession with her partner.
Ultimately "Crazy Possessive" highlights the struggles that can come with jealousy and possessiveness in a romantic relationship.
