He is responsible for the soundtracks to the computer games Gothic, that was released in 2001, Gothic II (2002) and Gothic 3 (2006). His favourite instrument is the piano. He loves playing the piano since his parents bought him a keyboard when he was 7 years old. His nickname is 'KaiRo', at first sight the German word for Cairo (Egypt's capital...). But obviously 'Kai' is his first name and 'Ro' are the first two letters of his surname.

This track is a masterpiece to me. It tell's a story of what Gothic could be today but in the same way makes me realise that it never will...Forgotten by time and shadowed by sandboxes... Listening to this brings me back to Khorinis and dreams about a perfect sequel that we never had chance to see. It's nostalgic sounds telling something like: We know it's not a gothic, we're sorry and it's our way to say goodbye to it. It's Kai saying goodbye to the fans and series.

That one song is one of my favorite gaming music pieces of all time. Kai Rosenkranz always creates great music, but Harbor City is one of those that somehow stole my heart with it's atmosphere!
