MAESTRO
Kaizer´s Orchestra Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
og teller på liv som har gått tapt
Eg ser at det som før låg i vater
eg ser det er blitt skakt
Men tiå har vært snill
mot mitt håndverk
Eg la ner stein for stein
og styrt skutå beint
Eg har vært tøff mot min klasse
og knukket nogen bein
Eg har gjort mine grep
og holdt samvittigheten rein
Sving din hammer
til din papa drar deg inn
Trekk et rom nummer
men ikkje bland din med min
Maestro
Ã? Clementine om do var min
og ikkje hadde lagt deg sjøl inn
DÃ¥ skulle do tatt det i det som blir
Flamingos dynasti
The lyrics to Kaizer's Orchestra's song "Maestro" reflect on the artist's past accomplishments and losses, and the impact of time on their creations. They begin by observing the work they have created and reflecting on the lives that have slipped away in the process. The artist notes that what was once level and stable has become unsettled and shaken. Despite this, they acknowledge that time has been kind to their work, and they have built it up, brick by brick, with steadfast determination. They have faced their challenges head-on and have not shied away from difficult situations or confrontations. They are proud of what they have accomplished and have maintained their integrity throughout the process.
The chorus reveals the artist's understanding that they are just one in a long line of creators who have come before and those who will come after. They implore others to continue to pursue their craft and hone their skills, but to also be respectful of those who came before them. They caution against getting too caught up in comparisons or competition and encourage a sense of camaraderie among artists. The final lines refer to Clementine, a character from the popular folk song "Oh My Darling, Clementine," and suggest that if the two were together, they could build something great - a dynasty like that of the flamingos.

is now unbalanced
Men tiå har vært snill
But the past decade has been kind

Eg la ner stein for stein
I laid down brick by brick
Eg har stått på min terrasse
I have stood on my terrace
og styrt skutå beint
and steered the ship straight
Eg har vært tøff mot min klasse
I have been tough on my class
og knukket nogen bein
and broken some bones
Eg har gjort mine grep
I have made my moves
