安らぎ囀(さえず)る空の中
ツグミの呼び声
果てまで響いていた
翳(かげ)ろう瞳の中に
祈りと慰めを見つけた
沈黙の中で生まれた
歌のように
追憶の木霊(こだま)するその庭に
貴方の声が響くから
時の中を彷徨(さまよ)う
Kyrie eleison
呟く泉のほとりで恋した
嘆きの園には
今はもう誰もいない
貴方の記憶の中の
一番幸せな場所まで
茨の小径(こみち)を
二人で行けたのに
Kyrie
魂に刻まれた静けさを
恋するように歌うから
時の中を運んで
Kyrie
追憶の木霊(こだま)するその庭に
光を歌う鳥達と
貴方の影が眠る
Kyrie eleison
五月の吐息に触れて
Kyrie
翳(かげ)ろう瞳の中に
eleison
Kyrie is a song that speaks about memories of a person that the singer loved dearly. The opening lines reminisce about the peaceful feeling of the May breeze, and the calming sound of the nightingale's chirping in the air. The summer ambiance is set and the story begins with the singer wandering through the garden, haunted by echoes of the past. The lyrics describe the emotions carefully chosen words, such as "koi," which means 'love' in Japanese. This sadness is complemented by the happiness of the memories, displayed in lines like "tattooed on the soul is tranquility," giving the song a sense of scale and depth.
The song's chorus, simply stating "Kyrie" repetitively, means "Lord, have mercy" in Greek. This is a Christian prayer, usually sung during Mass or other religious occasions. The song is an ode to those who have left us, and how the memories they left us haunt us even when they are no longer there. The song ends in a hopeful tone, that even though the person they loved is no longer present, they can still find peace in the memories of their time together.
