Their debut single oblivious, which contained the first three Kara no Kyoukai themes, was released on January 23, 2008. Re/oblivious, a remix mini-album, followed exactly three months later. Kalafina’s second single and first double A-side sprinter / ARIA consisted of the fifth and fourth Kara no Kyoukai theme songs, respectively, along with an instrumental version of oblivious. Their third single fairytale includes the sixth Kara no Kyoukai theme, a non-anime tie-in song, serenato, and an instrumental version of sprinter. Their first album, entitled Seventh Heaven, consisted of 13 tracks featuring the seven Kara no Kyoukai theme songs and was released in March of 2009 along with their fourth single Lacrimosa (Kuroshitsuji ED2 Theme). Their fifth single, storia, the theme song for NHK show Rekishi Hiwa Historia, was released in July of 2009. Their sixth single, entitled progressive, was released on October 28, 2009. They have released four full albums to date: Seventh Heaven (2009), Red Moon (2010), After Eden (2011), and Consolation (2013). Their next single will be featured in the third Madoka Magica movie.
In addition to their numerous Japan tours, Kalafina has begun performing internationally, primarily as guests of honor at anime conventions. So far they have held concerts and panel discussions in the United States (Boston, Los Angeles, Chicago), Hong Kong, Germany, and Malaysia, and will be performing in Indonesia this summer.
They officialy disbanded in 2019.

Yea, that's why. In the end, what makes me like them is Kajiura-san's composition. So, I follow what I like the most.
Fortunately for Kajiura-san, she has a lot of skillful singer working with her to keep her magic strong. Joelle has the same skillset as Wakana and even higher imo, especially with her ability in correctly pronounce English words which allow Kajiura to use her older songs in recent concerts. She has also filled Wakana's role in every Kajiura's song flawlessly that her absence was not much of an impact overall.
Then Kaori, what makes Hikaru unique was her rock quality vocal which was stronger than her since her voice is a bit soft and gentle sounding. But in recent concert, she has proven that she is able to deliver that same rock vibe quality and has always been the one taking Hikaru's parts nowadays.
Lastly, Kaida-san. She shines more since Kalafina disbanded. She has been taking the backing vocal role back then among Kajiura-san's songstress. But now, she often lead with Joelle. Like in "Canta Per Me" for example, her voice was so heavenly.
And Keiko is keiko. She is and will always be with Kajiura-san.
Other than those who has been with her since long. Kajiura also often collaborate with Eri Itou, Remi (famously known for SAO), Hanae Tomaru (who's known for Mai Hime and Mezame), and recently several Jpop singers like ASCA, Lisa, Eir Aoi, and ReONA.
So, if it's skillful singers. I have no doubt that Kajiura-san has a number of them. The combination of those songstress sound is what drew me to them. And Kajiura-san's ability to do that is what's lock me in her music.

Is anyone else listening to this unforgettable and legendary group called Kalafina in 2023? Even if they no longer perform together, they will always be unforgettable and even apart they are incredible, does anyone else here listen to their music in their respective solo careers?

Tbh, I didn't follow their solo careers. I had listen to some of their solo songs, but none impressed me much like those of Kajiura's composition. So for me, in the end it's the Kajiura-magic who has always been working. I'm sure I will always listen to her songs and OSTs, and since Keiko is still her Utahime, I can still listen to her as she's often joining under the name Fiction Junction with Kaori, Joelle, and Kaida-san. Hikaru's there at times, but no chance for Wakana afaik because she's still under Kajiura's previous management.

@@einzweichschein I agree that Kajiura-San is an excellent composer, and she is also my inspiration as a composer. But it's not just the composition and/or production work that makes the magic in a song. If the singer isn't up to par with the song, she won't do a good job. The three of them are still incredible at their peak, and nowadays they are more experienced than they were at that time OBVIOUS. And it is also obvious that in their solo portfolios they follow their own identities and personalities as musicians, unlike how it was in Kalafina, where Kajiura-San composed, produced, recorded and edited the songs, but obviously, Keiko-San sang according to the score but with her identity and expression. Hiraku-San sang according to the score but with her own identity and expression, and Wakana-San also followed the score but sang with her own identity and expression. In other words, Kalafina is the combination of all of this, if you listen to the solo career of any of them, of course it will be different, because it is no longer a set of identities, it is just one.

@@einzweichscheinI can relate on this, the only solo that still getting Kajiura treatment (having the songs composed and arranged) is only Keiko (the new Yuuyami no Uta is amazing) and only a few songs done by Kajiura too.
