The stylistic range of left-field pop artist Kali Uchis is reflected in the variety of her collaborators – an extensive genre-crossing list that includes Tyler, the Creator, Gorillaz, Daniel Caesar, Juanes, and BadBadNotGood. A singer, songwriter, and producer, as well as a video director, Uchis truly arrived on her own with the self-released Por Vida (2015), an EP that led to a deal with Virgin EMI. By the time Uchis released her lively debut full-length, the Top Five Billboard R&B/hip-hop hit Isolation (2018), she had already been nominated for Grammy awards through her featured appearances on Daniel Caesar's "Get You" and Juanes' "El Ratico."
Kali Uchis experienced the majority of her upbringing in Virginia and also spent time in her parents' native Colombia. As a teenager growing up in Alexandria, just south of Washington, D.C., she learned to play piano and saxophone and also developed a deep interest in visual arts. Her recorded debut was made in 2012 with the self-released mixtape Drunken Babble. Within three years, she had several singles to her credit, including "Know What I Want" and "Lottery," typically promoted with videos she directed, as well as collaborations with Snoop Dogg, GoldLink, Tyler, the Creator, and Major Lazer. Following the 2015 independent release of Por Vida, a free digital-download EP with tracks produced by Diplo, Kaytranada, and Tyler, Uchis started releasing her material through major-label Virgin EMI. A DJ Dahi-tweaked version of Por Vida's "Ridin Round," issued that November after a move to Los Angeles, was the artist's first single for the major label. "Only Girl," a relaxed Kaytranada production featuring Vince Staples and the Internet's Steve Lacy, followed in April 2016. She was also featured that year on Daniel Caesar's "Get You."
Throughout 2017, Uchis added to her discography of featured appearances via tracks by Juanes, Gorillaz, Tyler, Bootsy Collins, and Miguel, and she previewed her debut album with the singles "Tyrant" (featuring Jorja Smith) and "Nuestro Planeta" (featuring Reykon). By the end of the year, "Get You" had been nominated for a Grammy in the category of Best R&B Performance, and Juanes' "El Ratico" made Uchis a Latin Grammy nominee when it was up for Record of the Year. January 2018 saw the release of the BadBadNotGood-produced single "After the Storm" (featuring Tyler and Bootsy). Uchis released her debut album, Isolation, three months later. It debuted at number 32 on the Billboard 200 and entered the R&B/hip-hop chart at number four.

Kali Uchis Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Qué no te di
Que pudiera en tus manos poner
Y aunque quise robarme la luz para ti
No pudo ser
No pudo ser
In Kali Uchi's song que te pedí, the lyrics describe the singer's realization and acceptance of the difficulties that come with achieving one's dreams. The opening lines suggest that persistence and hard work are necessary to attain the goals that one sets for oneself. Despite the challenges, the singer feels hopeful that she will be able to achieve everything she has been dreaming of. She acknowledges that these dreams were once shared with someone else and hopes that they are listening to her message and understanding her sincerity.
The chorus continues this theme of longing for someone who is no longer present. The singer expresses what she asked for in the relationship, primarily loyalty and understanding, while also conveying the sentiment that her love is unique and cannot be replaced. She regrets not being able to do more for her loved one, but ultimately acknowledges that she couldn't control the outcome.

[Intro: Kali Uchis]
Boy, I know
That we could be more
Than just friends
But you're scared
Boy, I know
That we could be more
Than just friends
But you're scared
[Verse: Kali Uchis (Tyler the Creator)]
I know that there could be
Something for you and me
What's your philosophy?
You're scared, scared
Oh darlin', it's in the way you want me
(Just say the word, girl)
You can see the answers are all there
(But I'm just too blind to see)
You and I are cut from different fabric
(I wonder why, I wonder why with you, girl)
Don't be too material to see
(But I'm just too blind to see)
Some how this world is such a struggle just to be
Fuck em' all, baby, it's just you and me
[Pre-Hook: Tyler, Kali & Austin]
You make me better
And I know this don't make sense
But you make me better
[Hook: Austin Feinstein & Kali Uchis]
Alone, alone, alone
Ah-lone, alone, at home, alone
Yeah, oh
Alone
Ah-lone
Lone
(Oo-oh)

People are getting AIDS without an HIV positive diagnosis when they have long COVID, which happens to some people when they don't entirely recover from a COVID infection
The CDC hasnt alarmed the public as of yet and ive been seeing people get AIDS without an HIV positive diagnosis since 2020-2021
I knew about long COVID approximately a year before the CDC said anything and most of the public doesn't even know what it is still, because somebody is keeping people in the dark
Hehe, the CDC is the Center for Disease Control not the Center for Disease Eradication
Disease eradication throughout the 20th century played a role in the massive population booms seen during the last half of the 20th century and the 21st century
Diseases can be controlled as a form of population control, & they aren't properly educating and alarming the public when it comes to disease transmission and the things currently threatening millions of peoples health and longevity
COVID artificially ages every organ in the body which will trim years off of many peoples lives, especially if they aren't taking care of their health or protecting themselves in other ways, especially the ones who fell for the antivaxx movement which is projected to grow over the next couple decades, genociding many stupid people into premature graves
The Federal Government and the CDC initiated a Mass Infection Protocol, took away masking restrictions after people got vaccinated, just to get people back to work to prevent the economy from collapsing
The lives and longevity of millions of workers, children, animals, people in general were sacrificed on the altar of capitalism to keep the economy from crumbling
