Burn 'Em All
Kameron Marlowe Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Slung over the shotgun seat in my truck
Just waiting on the right time and state of mind
Hell, I found, tonight we're gonna burn ′em all
Got a time card sayin' 50 hours runnin'
All my buddies at the bar so come on down
There′s a couple brand new 20s in my wallet
Pour the gas, light the match, set the night on fire
Set the blaze, let the flames get higher
Every cigarette, every dollar, every problem
You got on you from a town this small
Tonight we're gonna burn ′em all
Got a worn out set of Goodyear's on the Chevy
And I know a two lane that was paved for me and you
Girl every midnight, shooting star kiss, waiting on our lips
Tonight we′re going to burn 'em all
Pour the gas, light the match, set the night on fire
Set the blaze, let the flames get higher
Every cigarette, every dollar, every problem
You got on you from a town this small
Tonight we′re gonna burn 'em all
Every chance, every moment, catch a spark, keep it going, keep it going, yeah
Pour the gas, light the match, set the night on fire
Set the blaze, let the flames get higher
Every cigarette, every dollar, every problem
You got on you from a town this small
Tonight we're gonna burn ′em all
Well we′re gonna burn 'em all
We′re gonna burn 'em all
The lyrics of Kameron Marlowe's "Burn 'Em All" describe a desire to let go of the past and everything that holds us down. The singer has a pack of Marlboro Reds in their jacket pocket and a couple brand new 20s in their wallet, and they are waiting for the right time and the right state of mind to burn them all. They are tired of the 50 hours they work, and they want to let loose with their buddies at the bar. They are ready to burn everything that holds them back, every cigarette, every dollar, every problem from a town this small, and set the night on fire.
The chorus emphasizes this desire to burn everything down and let go completely. The singer wants to pour the gas, light the match, and set the night on fire. They want to set the blaze and let the flames get higher, and every chance and every moment is an opportunity to catch a spark and keep it going. The final line of the chorus repeats the desire to burn everything down and start fresh, leaving nothing behind: "Tonight we're gonna burn 'em all."
The final verse of the song connects this desire to move on from the past with a romantic relationship. The singer has a worn out set of Goodyear's on their Chevy and a two-lane road paved just for them. They want to share a shooting star kiss at midnight, and they see this as another opportunity to burn everything down and start fresh. The repetition of the chorus echoes this sentiment, emphasizing the desire to burn everything down and start fresh with a new relationship.

I know this song is suppose to be more “party” related, but this song has been pulling me through this hell of a month. I’ve been struggling with my depression, where I want to set myself on this self destructive path (cutting ties, distancing myself, putting no effort into anything, etc.) and this song has just helped me release all of these emotions. Putting me in this state of mind where I want to burn all the bad and feel renewed.
