One of the most difficult things in life is giving up something or "someone" that you so badly wanted to work. Unfortunately it's a battle I see a lot of people have had to face. 2022 will be 3 years since I had to say goodbye, this song really sums it all up. This song literally hit me so hard. It's super easy to fall in love and to let someone into your life with thinking in your head "This is the right person for me, I'm never gonna let go" and looking back down the road thinking to yourself "What the hell was I thinking ?" Knowing it's time to let go and focus on getting your life back into place but that's a lot easier said than done. It hurts to let someone you fell in love with go but it's a lot less painful then to hold on to the person and continuing the path that wasnt meant to be.

Searching through music last night after the father of my child left me because he can’t control his alcoholism. Coming across this song was so bittersweet. I cried so hard! I quit smoking for my daughter, quit drinking, and quit drugs for her. He hasn’t been able to give anything up for her or I. Now it’s time for me to give him up for the sake of my child.
