Leavin' to Me
Kameron Marlowe Lyrics

I lit your last Camel, now I'm sitting in the smoke ring
You might not be listeninโฒ, but I know you can hear
Through the bedroom walls that old Willie song's got your blue eyes raining tear
Maybe I'm being selfish, I canโฒt see another way
Just one more time and one last night, we can lay in the bed you made
I wasnโฒt made for giving up but, there ain't much thatโฒs left of us you
I ain't gonna play your fool I, wasnโฒt the one runnin' round on you no
I ainโฒt the bad guy don't make me be, set me free yeah
But don't leave, donโฒt leave, donโฒt leave, leavin' to me
We can leave it till tomorrow, but that wonโฒt change a thing
I'd get in my truck and start it up but Iโฒve had too much to drink
It ain't just the whiskey, that wonโฒt let me drive
It's the words that you can't tell me, that I canโฒt leave behind
I wasnโฒt made for giving up but, there ain't much thatโฒs left of us you
Already broke my heart so just break it off
I ain't gonna play your fool I, wasnโฒt the one runnin' round on you no
I ainโฒt the bad guy don't make me be, set me free yeah
But don't leave, donโฒt leave, donโฒt leave, leavin' to me
I wasnโฒt made for giving up but, there ain't much thatโฒs left of us you
Already broke my heart so just break it off
Kameron Marlowe's song "Leavin' to Me" tells the story of a conflicted man who is desperately trying to hold onto a failing relationship. The lyrics vividly portray his inner turmoil as he looks around his home, seeing reminders of his partner everywhere he turns. He notices a bottle of half-drank whiskey in the kitchen, and he's sitting in the smoke ring from the last Camel he lit for her. Even with the bedroom walls between them, he can hear her crying to an old Willie song. The man knows that the relationship is over, but he can't bring himself to let go. He pleads with his partner not to leave, even though he knows deep down that she has already broken his heart. In the end, he begs for her to stay, but he's unwilling to make the decision to let go and end the relationship himself.
The lyrics of "Leavin' to Me" are powerful in their depiction of the struggle to hold onto a relationship that is clearly over. The man is terrified of being alone, and the thought of losing his partner is too much to bear. He's lost control of the situation and is paralyzed by his emotions. He knows that he needs to let go, but he's still holding on, desperate for one more chance to make things right.
Overall, "Leavin' to Me" is a heartbreaking song that explores the complexity of relationships and the difficulty of letting go. Marlowe's emotional delivery brings the lyrics to life, creating a powerful experience for the listener.

Saw this guy open for Brad Paisley at DTE music theatre is Detroit. Never heard of him before that day. He rocked the show, blew the crowd away and everyone loved him and I've been a fan since. This is a great song (that he wrote) and he really has a great voice. Triple threat singer, songwriter, musician. He deserves to make it. Keep up Kameron. You have a fan for life!
