Two - KANE was formed in 1998 by Christian Kane & Steve Carlson. Both are accomplished songwriters and guitarists whose passion to create and share their special breed of "outlaw country" soon became a Los Angeles phenomenon. Packing such hot spots as The Viper Room and The Mint, Christian and Steve became well known in the L.A. community for their strong original songwriting and awesome high-energy performances.
KANE has received airplay from #1 LA country music station KZLA, been voted the winner of the 2005 Country Thunder Young Guns Contest, been voted one of L.A.'s 100 Hottest Unsigned Bands by industry magazine Music Connection, and Rock City News and E Media Wire Service describe KANE in one word: "Killer." Despite somewhat limited touring, KANE’s self-released debut CD sold over 4,500 copies in the US, with almost half those copies selling in countries as far away as Malaysia, Germany, Australia and Brazil. Corporate shakeups led to KANE's second album, the Sony Sessions, being shelved.
Not content to stay an L.A. phenomenon, the two began taking regular trips to Nashville to polish their writing chops. Nashville exposed them to the thrill of collaborating with some of the best songwriters in the world. Longtime friend and Bigger Picture partner Michael Powers introduced them to Bob Ezrin, who immediately recognized KANE’s potential. Christian rounded up one of his favorite creative partners in Jimmie Lee Sloas and KANE soon found a new home recording in partnership with Bigger Picture Group.
Produced by the legendary Bob Ezrin and Jimmie Lee Sloas, KANE's new debut album, entitled “The House Rules,” drops this fall (2010) on the Outlaw Saints label, a partnership with Bigger Picture Group. On this album EMI songwriters Christian and Steve collaborate with friends Blair Daly, Brett James, David Lee Murphy, Casey Beathard, Jerrod Niemann and others.

Is it dark or gray
Oh could you please come out here
You seem so far away
Am I drifting from you
Is it hard to say
Could you oh please come to me
Oh would you please come to me
Why don't you stay with me
Oh could you please come to me
Rescue me oh no no no no no no
Does it truly matter
If I'm wrong or right
I got my hands towards you
Ah would you make it right
And if I, I said I did it
Would you still be on my side
One hand towards you
Oh would you still, still make it right
Oh please come on stay with me yeah
Oh would you please come on to me
Rescue me oh no no no no no yeah
So if I drown this morning
If I say what's on my mind
Oh don't you know I got some things to say
You lead the way, don't be afraid baby
Oh don't you know I, I, I, I, I, I have some things to say
So if you're truly out here
Could you come to me
And if I said I did it
Would you still be on my side
One hand towards you
Oh would you still, still make it right
Oh please come on baby
Oh don't you know I got some things to say
You lead the way, don't be afraid baby [Repeat x2]
Don't you know I, you and I yeah [Repeat x2]
So is it cold where you are
Is it dark or grey
Could you please come to me
You seem so far away
And does it truly matter
If I'm wrong or say, let's say I'm right
So please come out here
Come and make it right
Come on
Don't you know baby baby baby yeah yeah yeah oh no oh
The song "Rescue Me" by Kane is a plea to a romantic partner to come closer and resolve the distance between them. The lyrics suggest that the singer is unsure of the current state of their relationship with his significant other. He questions whether they are still connected and requests their presence to rescue him from this feeling of separation. The song exhibits a desire for closeness and understanding, as the vocalist is seeking reconciliation with his partner.
The bridge of the song is highlighting the importance of communication in a relationship. The singer references saying things that have yet to be said and communicating his true feelings, even if it means admitting that he is wrong. He wants his partner to hear him out and meet him halfway towards fixing the relationship's issues. The song ends with the repeated plea to rescue him, ultimately expressing a yearning for the other person's love and attention.
Overall, "Rescue Me" is a poignant and emotive ballad dealing with the universal themes of love, distance, and communication in relationships. It's a plea for closeness and understanding, and a heartfelt song that can resonate with those who have experienced such disconnection in relationships.
