1) [1] a UK hip hop / grime rapper
2) [2] a classic italo-disco project.
3) [3] a Japanese singer who covers Vocaloid songs.
[1] In his early teens Kano attended Langdon Comprehensive School in East Ham, Newham, where his mother still works. Kano was a promising footballer, representing Chelsea F.C., Junior Hammers and Norwich City by the age of thirteen, but in the end he abandoned his sporting ambitions in favour of a musical career. His cousin Jonathan Fortune plays for Charlton Athletic.
His first track was "Boys Love Girls". Kano first became known on the UK grime scene for his work with his original group, N.A.S.T.Y Crew (Natural Artistic Sounds Touching You). From this springboard he was signed as a solo artist and began work on his debut solo album.
He is signed to 679 Recordings and is a label mate of The Streets. He was also a key member in East London’s N.A.S.T.Y. Crew. However, since being signed to 679 recordings, he has now left N.A.S.T.Y Crew, and took Demon and Ghetto with him.
Home Sweet Home was a great critical success, from across the British press, most notably The Independent and The Observer, two creditable UK based newspapers. Many artists in the UK and US have expressed positive views of the album, including Busta Rhymes, Nas, RZA, Jay-Z, Andre 3000 and Chuck D of Public Enemy.
Towards the end of 2005, Kano also released a mixtape, Beats & Bars, which is currently only available at his concerts.
London Town was released on September 10, 2007, which included hit single, "This Is The Girl", featuring Craig David. London Town includes tracks featuring Gorillaz member Damon Albarn formerly of Blur, Kate Nash, Craig David, Vybz Kartel and Leo The Lion.
Kano is also releasing a special Deluxe Limited Edition that includes a DVD featuring a interview with Kano, This Is The Girl video and acoustic studio footage with Craig David.
Kano has now left 679 recordings.

[2] Kano was a post-disco music project formed in 1979 by Italian-based producers/musicians Luciano Ninzatti, Stefano Pulga and Matteo Bonsanto. They were early producers of a style of Italian dance music called Italo-disco, a blend of 1970s disco and funk with the addition of synthesizers.
Kano's sound was first heard on radio stations and in dance clubs around the world with their debut hit single, 1980's "I'm Ready", from their self-titled debut album (which also included the minor hits, "It's a War" and the instrumental track "Cosmic Voyager"). The b-side of "I'm Ready", "Holly Dolly" used the same essential production elements. "I'm Ready" also peaked at #21 on the Black Singles chart. "It's a War" was also a big hit on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in the U.S., reaching #2 for five weeks.
The project went on to record two other albums, including 1981's "New York Cake" (which included the minor hits "Don't Try to Stop Me", and "Can't Hold Back") and 1983's "Another Life" (including the title track and "I Need Love") which introduced West Indian-born singer Glen White. Their last song was 1985's "This Is the Night".
"I'm Ready" was later used as a sample on a few songs, such as Gigolo Tony's 1986 hit "Hokie Pokie" and Rofo's 1987 hit "Flashlight In A Disconight". The most well-known use of it as a sample is on Tag Team's 1993 hit, "Whoomp! (There It Is)". "Another Life" was remixed by Master Blaster featuring in their 2003 album "We Love Italo Disco". "Another Life" was also sampled in the 2005 track "Discopolis" by Lifelike & Kris Menace. "Ikeya Seki" was sampled by the French electro house artist Kavinsky for his track "Grand Canyon", which appeared on his 2007 EP, 1986.

When we was coming up back then, where the fuck they gone?
I dont know if it broke, or if I put it back to get it
Cause I just can't remember went wrong, what were we doing?
Theres nobody I grew with, oh ye thats right my brother Lee
And my cousin Smithy, and we're living life right now man
And this what we gonna do till its over, til its over
Look! Usain Bolt flow try and take the baton from me
Suprise! This is like a rapping robbery
Old school like a bally in the fucking Offy
Like gag up your mouth bitch
UMM UMM UMMM (Muffled Sound)
I'm only stealing my swag back that they stole from me
Every line fire, hose the beat
And every track gets fucked like a hoes the beat
And I go for a weeks, Mr Marcus indeed
I'm like snow and sleet, ain't nobody cold as me
Legendary like I rose six feet
Like Big Pun and Biggy go smoke from me
And I'm a winner when the games on
Avatar shit, looks sicker with the shades on
!
And I dont like boasters and braggers
But this ain't 'D&G', this is Dolce and Gabanna
Ay Kane stop playing with these fuckers shoot to kill
Look, so you wanna be successful
I want the respect fucker you should be respectful
Fuck what the rest do, that shit can depress you
And fuck whose investing you, I wanna know whose dressing you
Flow of the year, six times running
Cause if I had of won it they'll throw tantrums Mr West threw
999, them fuckers can't protect you
When im spitting fire, rect you, bless you
Era of the swag rap, ring tone trapper
Skank tunes, or Mr Lover Man... Shabba!
Money money money, rich world no Abba
I grew up around some rapsy no pappa
But every body wants a picture now cause im richer now
And some of my closest bredrins are distant now
Its like the price you have to pay for the fucking fame
But I didn't give it all up I took my fucking change
Frequent flyer, I know its wrong but I earnt the right
To be walking up the Virgin Flights
More Champagne, keep that shit coming
Kenyan tab cause I keep that shit running
Look the city loves me cause I keep it so London
But im like dark like dungeons.
The lyrics of Kano's song "Game Over" convey a message about the changes that come with success, the loss of old friends and the importance of staying true to oneself. Kano reminisces about his past, reflecting on the fact that many of his childhood friends are no longer present. He experiences a sense of confusion regarding why they drifted apart or if he had something to do with it. Nevertheless, he asserts that he is still close with his brother Lee and his cousin Smithy, and they're living their best lives.
Kano then shifts towards a more boastful tone regarding his skills as a rapper, stating that he is unbeatable in flow and delivery. He emphasizes his desire for respect rather than just success and how the fame that comes with it can alter one's life. He highlights the importance of being steadfast while being aware of who's dressing you and investing in you. In summary, Kano paints a picture of the cost of success as a celebrity, forgoing the old friendships for new acquaintances and the need to remain true to oneself's values.

I can see whats inside they ain't rapping properly

Old school like a bally in the fucking Offy
Like gag up your mouth bitch
UMM UMM UMMM (Muffled Sound)
I'm only stealing my swag back that they stole from me
I'm a throwback to the old school days, like when people wore balaclavas to the Off Licence. I'm taking back my swag that others stole from me, like when they put a gag in my mouth and made me muffle my voice.
Every line fire, hose the beat
And every track gets fucked like a hoes the beat
And I go for a weeks, Mr Marcus indeed
I'm like snow and sleet, ain't nobody cold as me
My rap lines are scorching hot and they really tear up the beat, plus I'm recording tracks non-stop like Mr. Marcus. I'm like a freezing winter storm, and no one can be as cold as me.
Legendary like I rose six feet
Like Big Pun and Biggy go smoke from me
And I'm a winner when the games on
Avatar shit, looks sicker with the shades on
!
I'm a hip-hop legend like those who passed away, like Big Pun and Biggie, and people pay their respects to me when I'm out in public. And when it's time to perform, I always win. My style is so unique that it looks cooler when I wear sunglasses.
And I dont like boasters and braggers
But this ain't 'D&G', this is Dolce and Gabanna
Ay Kane stop playing with these fuckers shoot to kill

Era of the swag rap, ring tone trapper
Skank tunes, or Mr Lover Man... Shabba!
Money money money, rich world no Abba
I grew up around some rapsy no pappa
This is the era of swag rap, where people make hits just for ringtones. My music is like dance hall hits or like Shabba Ranks. And the world is all about money, not Abba. I grew up without a father, surrounded by rough characters.
But every body wants a picture now cause im richer now
And some of my closest bredrins are distant now
Its like the price you have to pay for the fucking fame
But I didn't give it all up I took my fucking change

To be walking up the Virgin Flights
More Champagne, keep that shit coming
Kenyan tab cause I keep that shit running

Look the city loves me cause I keep it so London
But im like dark like dungeons.
The city loves me because I represent London so well. But my persona is dark, like deep dungeons where no light can penetrate.
