At the end of the day, this was was the music that was pushed as cool to me when I was about 10 years old and it really stuck with me. To me, both Jeezy's persona and delivery still holds up and is unique. Also, even with his recent albums he's plays it pretty close to what he knows works so he's been an artist I've gotten a lot of mileage out of despite him not reaching crazy high peaks Carter II. He didn't just fall off a cliff like 50. But yeah, Jeezy is probably like bottom 10 of my favorite rappers lyrically; it's his delivery that keeps him in constant rotation for me. But also, I get why you replied to the original comment in the first place; it sounds like any other Jeezy feature which is basically just "hate it or love it" haha.

@Lizard1582 yea man when I was younger(I'm 36 now) like in high school I was real strict with my hip hop like if u don't write your own rhymes u ain't a rapper or lyricist plain and simple but as I got older I realized delivery is very important too..not as important as writing your own rhymes mind u but it is very important..it's one reason why I use to not respect Eazy E as a rapper but then I realized even though he didn't write his own rhymes or produce his own beats his charisma level was so overwhelming it really didn't matter to most people and it doesn't matter much to me anymore either..besides that Eazy was more a businessman who jumped on the mic sometimes like Birdman and their legacies are mostly their business moves but the charisma factor is very important so I do understand where u coming from as far as Jeezy but I don't think he has a whole lot of charisma nor does his raps make me think he's done what he says he's done but I respect your opinion though for sure...as far as far as the rappers u mentioned..I Like T.I. and Game has proven himself to be one of the great mcs but Wayne though I never loved Wayne...he surprised no doubt I never thought listening to Hot Boys way back in 97 that he would come anywhere near as far as he's come ..Carter II is probably my favorite album from him and from 2004-2009 he most definitely had my attention but he started falling to pieces in 2010 and I don't think he fully lived up to his potential...I loved 50 from 99-2004 but after 2004 he just wasn't hungry anymore...Massacre was just average and Curtis was a disaster...talk about not living up to potential..Wayne ain't got nothin on 50 in that regard

I feel like people really slept on Jeezy's verse on this. The way he entered was so calmly aggressive and that transition when the piano gets heavier (2:51) has him FLOATING over Ye's impeccable production. They didn't have access to the actual instrumental. The only person who made a proper remix was Tony Williams who actually worked with Kanye on the original song and I think features as the tenor voice along with Mr Hudson in the choir part.
