Overall Meaning

"Pt. 2" by Kanye West featuring Ty Dolla $ign is a braggadocious rap song that celebrates luxury brands, fame, and fortune. The song starts with the chorus repeating the name of the designer Junya Watanabe, who is known for his avant-garde Menswear collections. Kanye declares that he has Junya Watanabe on his wrist, and he is so flashy that he can't see where he is missing. Next, he boasts about his crew members, who consist of ex-strippers and new killers. They are ready to do anything to defend him because he's the new kingpin of the rap industry.

The chorus repeats, and Kanye adds more lyrics to describe his affluent lifestyle. He and his crew are unstoppable, like piranhas, and they buy out the store in hours. They took over the rap industry for five summers, hashtagging the phrase "hold up," which is a terse way of making a point. Then Kanye switches to Ty Dolla $ign, who talks about the different brands they're wearing, including Jun Takahashi, Undercover, Hibachi, and Bottega. Ty also mentions that they don't do karate; instead, they're violent when necessary. The song ends with Kanye mentioning his designers, Amiri and Mike Amiri, and concludes with him declaring that he's trying to find his way and is grateful for everything God has done for him.
