Lux
Kardashev Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Wake!
This is silence and silence is still!
Blossomed fist! O, Altruist!
I am immortal. I am Dead.
I have everything. I have nothing.
I am immortal. I am Dead.
I have everything. I have nothing at all.
Nothing at all.

At each core, soft approximation.
delicate abstraction.
Function and Form.
So maintained -
Ceasing acquisition.
True manifestation as I become dust.

Great reversal!
This - a fleeting formation of matter!
Self defined!

We are immortal. We are dead.
We have everything. We have nothing.
We are immortal. We are dead.
We have everything. We have nothing at all.
Nothing at all.

Yet now my eyes on a darkened mirror -
seeing everything in part.

We are awake!

Millions stare back! All of our kind!
We will know each other as we are known!

Overall Meaning

The song "Lux" by Kardashev talks about the complex idea of existence and the duality of life and death. The song encourages the listener to awaken to the silence and understand that everything is connected. The opening lines, "Wake! This is silence and silence is still! Blossomed fist! O, Altruist!" are a call to action, urging people to wake up and pay attention to the blank canvas of silence. The repeated lines, "I am immortal. I am Dead. I have everything. I have nothing." draw attention to the duality of existence, suggesting that life and death are intertwined, and one cannot exist without the other.

The next set of lines are more abstract and talk about the true essence of existence. "At each core, soft approximation. Delicate abstraction. Function and Form. So maintained - Ceasing acquisition. True manifestation as I become dust." These lines suggest that existence is a balance between form and function and that we should strive to find our true manifestation before we become dust. The song then talks about the great reversal, reminding us that life is fleeting and that we must see everything in part before we can fully awaken. The song ends with the lines, "Millions stare back! All of our kind! We will know each other as we are known!". These lines are a reminder that we are all connected and that we will know each other as we truly are in the end.

@grinkorable

The false chord and fry vocals mix up perfectly in this song....10/10

@grinkorable

***** the lows are power fry vocals...

@grinkorable

+Asdfjkl just curious...what does adam warren use then? fry or false chord?

@grinkorable

***** I thought both of em use fry, because in both cases, you cannot feel the vibration of their vocal cords and their vocals sound so clean...kinda like our speaking voice...and false chord sounds more dirty and you can actually listen or at least feel the vibration (kinda like ed butcher or tom barbers vocals or like the guy from kardashev itself)....ive been taught like that....im not entirely sure if im wrong or not...
