To those who are not familiar with this musical genius, he is "Kashif". Song writer as well as vocalist. Well respected amongst his peers in the music industry.

Kashif Saleem was certainly one of the most influential artist and musicians of the 80's. If you where anywhere on this planet in 1983-1987 you knew his music through his own artistry or his instrumental and vocal contributions to some of the greatest recordings of that era.
Without Kashif's contribution to music there would be no Evelyn Champagne King hits such as Love Come Down, I'm in Love and Back to Love. He also wrote the smash 80's hit So Fine for Howard Johnson. He continued to write powerful hits songs for George Benson (Inside Love) and Whitney Houston (You Give Good Love to Me)

He also wrote songs for Kenny G, Johnny Kemp, Melba Moore, Dionne Warwick, Giorge Pettus, Stacy Lattisaw, Meli'sa Morgan, Exposé, The Wootens, Freda Payne and Al Jarreau. I had the opportunity to personally communicate with him several years ago and tell him just how much his music inspired a generation of true music lovers. His death certainly comes as a shock to us all who love and cherish his music. Although his time here with us has past, the legacy of his music is still here to remind us of what true music artistry is.

So I encourage you to press play and listen to one of the greatest musicians and songwriters of our lifetime.
From your greatest fan
Rest In Peace Kashif Saleem

1983 was the year in music, Michael Jackson, Prince and Kashif. All three of these talented artists are no longer with us. Rest in peace my brothers.
