Prior to being a recording artist, he was a record store owner and a club DJ at a nightclub in Salt Lake City as a way to make ends meet for him and his wife. After he and his wife moved to San Francisco he landed a job as a A&R man at OM records, where in addition to reviewing demos for the label he also submitted his own material, which would pay off big time for him. In 2001 he went from behind the desk to behind the turntables and the recording studio as an artist in his own right. In 2003 Kaskade released his first album, "It's You It's Me", which was well received by critics.
It would be his follow up, "In The Moment" in 2004, that would put Kaskade on the map. The first single off the set "Steppin' Out" would become a major hit on the Dance Radio Airplay that year as well as a top 10 hit on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart. His biggest breakthrough would come the week of May 14, 2005, when his follow up, "Everything," would go all the way to #1 on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart.

Another night out, another dance floor
Another night out, another dance floor
(Move for you)
Another night out, another dance floor
Here we go, another night out
Waited all week just to get out
Doesn't really matter, in this life we're all the same
Move for me, I'll move for you
Move for me, I'll move for you
Move for me, I'll move for you
Move for me, I'll move for you
A DJ a light show
Speakers putting up, as we go
This way and that way, getting past the night
Doesn't really matter, in this life we're all the same
Move for you, I'll move for you
Move for me, I'll move for you
Move for me, I'll move for you
Another night out, another dance floor
Another night out, another dance floor
Another night out, another dance floor
(Move for me)
Another night out, another dance floor
(Move for me)
Another night out, another dance floor
(Move for me, I'll move for you)
Another night out, another dance floor
(Move for me, I'll move for you)
Another night out, another dance floor
The lyrics to Kaskade's "Move For Me" are all about the experience of going out to dance with others in a crowded club or party scene. The repeated lines of "Another night out, another dance floor" emphasize the routine nature of this activity, but also indicate the excitement and anticipation that comes with it. The singer muses on the fact that in this space, it doesn't matter who you are or where you come from - everyone is united in the desire to move and have a good time.
There's a sense of connection and mutual energy between the crowd and the DJ, who provides the beats and lights that drive the dancers forward. The notion of moving "for" each other signifies a shared experience, where each person's movements contribute to a collective rhythm and sense of community. The lyrics are simple but effective, capturing the joy and release of dancing the night away among friends and strangers alike.
Overall, "Move For Me" is a celebration of the power of music and movement to connect people and create a shared sense of belonging. It's a song that captures the euphoria of partying, and reminds us that even in a world that can seem divided and isolated, there are still moments of unity and joy to be found in the simple act of moving our bodies to the beat.

This was when Kaskade was putting out that real heat. I miss the type of house music he made from 2007 - 2010. Good times.
