Caruso
Katherine Jenkins Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Qui dove il mare luccica
E tira forte il vento
Su una vecchia terrazza
Davanti al golfo di Surriento

Un uomo abbraccia una ragazza
Dopo che aveva pianto
Poi si schiarisce la voce
E ricomincia il canto

Ti voglio bene assai

Poi all'improvviso uscì una lacrima

Overall Meaning

The song "Caruso" by Katherine Jenkins tells a story of a man who sings on an old terrace in front of the Gulf of Sorrento while embracing a girl who had just finished crying. At first, the man's voice is hoarse, but it clears up as he continues his song. He expresses his love for the girl in a chain that dissolves the blood in his veins. The man saw the lights in the middle of the sea, and he thought of his nights in America, but they were just the lamps and the white trail of a propeller. The music caused him pain, and he left the piano. However, when he saw the moon coming out of a cloud, the man found the death even sweeter.

Looking into the green eyes of the girl, he suddenly shed a tear, and he thought he was drowning. The man loved the girl so much that the chain melted like blood in his veins, and he realized that he must forget her forever. Overall, the song represents a love story that transcends time and distance and expresses the depth of human emotions and their effect on people.

Katherine Jenkins is the greatest.

@erictarbox

Lara Fabian is the best, Andrea Bocelli is next. Katherine is a distant third. I’ll Divo is a very distant fourth.
