Il me parle tout bas,
Je vois la vie en rose.
Il me dit des mots d'amour,
Des mots de tous les jours
Et
ça me fait quelque chose.
La vie en rose is a classic French song that has been covered by numerous artists over the years. Katherine Jenkins's version of the song captures the essence of the original and delivers a heartfelt rendition. The lyrics of the song are simple yet profound. They describe the feeling of being in love and how it transforms one's perspective on life.
The opening line of the song, "Quand il me prend dans ses bras" (when he takes me in his arms) sets the tone for the rest of the song. The singer is describing how her lover's embrace makes her feel. She goes on to say that when he speaks to her softly, she sees life in pink (la vie en rose). This is a metaphor for looking at life through rose-colored glasses, or seeing everything in a cheerful light.
The second verse of the song describes how her lover's words of love have a profound effect on her. She says that his words, although they may be everyday words, mean something special to her. They have the power to make her feel something (ça me fait quelque chose). This is a testament to the power of love and how it can transform the mundane into something magical.
