She released her first album, Satisfy, in 2003, and is currently working on a second project, which has been recorded, and due for release late this year.[2]

Brought up in Northern Ireland in a Christian environment, Kathryn discovered her talents for not only piano playing but also for singing. After getting married in 1996, Scott met and began to be mentored by Brian Doerksen, then Head of the Vineyard UK branch, and as a result, Kathryn's songs feature on many of the Vineyard albums, including Hungry, Surrender and Come, Now is the Time.

"Hungry" was released in 1999 by Vineyard Music Group, containing 14 songs; 2 of which Kathryn penned. Kathryn sings on 7 of the 14 songs, 2 of the 7 alongside another one of the other four worship leaders on the album.

"Satisfy" was released in 2003 by Vertical Records, containing 12 songs; 7 of which Kathryn penned.

Kathryn and her husband Alan serve as pastors of Causeway Coast Vineyard, a church that they planted in 1999 in Northern Ireland, and have two daughters together.

I lost a little girl while i was pregnant, and I happened to hear this song in a Christian gift shop while I was looking for something spiritual to bring to her burial. I bought the CD, and played it at her burial. This song reminds me not to 'blame' God for things that happen in our lives, but to hand over all our pains and sufferings, and He will carry them for us....if we ask Him with all our heart and love. 9 years ago on 1/3.2014 I laid my drug and alcohol addiction at the foot of the cross.I have been forgiven and all has been lifted from me.I am going into 9 years of recovery.I have bad days and good days but,I am truly blessed by the Lord God Almighty.I am one of his annointed.I have done this recovery with no rehab.Praise to the King.

Amen! I too, didn’t have to go to rehab. Moving away from where I used was helpful to kickstart in the beginning, but the true recover came through Jesus. He truly does make all things new. I thought I’d die an addict, or at the very least, clean but daily cravings. I’m so grateful to say that’s not my story. So much joy today!

My favorite part of this song is when she sings, "Now I can - trade these ashes in for beauty". It speaks to how we all have a choice of continuing to wallow in our self-made ashes, or choose to realize our heritage and live like we're the daughters and sons of the one true God and king of the universe. The God of love and beauty . We can choose to lay down all our horrible decisions, our sorrows, our mistakes, our broken relationships, and shame from what others have done to us or what we have done to others - we can give it all up and realize that we've already been forgiven, we've already been healed, we've already been loved - by our Messiah, the Passover Lamb, the Ultimate Healer, Jesus Christ. "Trade these ashes in for beauty" That part really hits hard. I remember the time when I hated every person that shared His word to me. I always cursed God for the struggles I received back then. Every person that knew that I was not a Christ loving person. But when I decided to just give my mother a chance to join again a church service. Oh that's where everything was revealed. I felt so blessed and happy. I thought those Christians I have talked to in the past were just making stories of how blessed they feel. But then remembering my past self I could not help but feel like I don't deserve to come back. But when I decided to start my own devotion, these were the very first words that I read. God not only forgives us, He justifies us. So whenever you think you don't deserve His love, well you're technically correct, but God chose to love us just because He chose to. And He wants us to have faith in His love.

This song reminds me of a day that I would always hold dear to my heart I didn’t know what was happening that day as I drove to the hospital you see it was touch and go I took my bible and didn’t question why but just believing the situation I walked into the icu where she was and it was just grandma and I, I had asked for a basin and towels, the doctor had asked me why. I told them that I was going to wash her feet, they gave me as what I requested, I washed her feet, and anointed them, and the doctors and nurses where watch as I did this for my grandmother and I read the scripture,john 14 vs. 2 my cousin walked in and I had shared with her...
