Linden scored two hits on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 late in the 1950s. The first was "Billy", a song originally written in 1911; it hit #7 in 1958. The second was "Goodbye Jimmy, Goodbye", which rose to #11 in 1959. Both singles were released on Felsted Records and featured Joe Leahy's backing orchestra. "Goodbye Jimmy Goodbye" incorporated elements of two previous tunes - the British music hall song "Two Lovely Black Eyes" and the country song "Goodbye Little Darling". There were a few covers, the biggest of which was by Ruby Murray in the UK. At the time of her first hit single Kathy was a married woman in her 20s, but her record company wanted her to appear as a child due to her childish voice.

I hate this kind of titling too. This is just a collection of historical images that were often in history books or magazines. Some were taken for media. This is right up there with those, "25 Things You Didn't Know About..." titles, where I get irritated, because you have no idea what I do and don't know. It could have just been named something like "25 Things You Might Not Have Known About...", and it would have been just as interesting and not irritating.

I once read that the first MGM lion(Jack) (a national film icon) depicted @ 8:14 had mauled & killed the assistant cameraman & but, luckily only injured his trainer/handler, who tried to stop him when he first pounced on the assistant cameraman, unfortunately, not in time to prevent the attack from the start ..but managed to calm him down enough to not attack anyone else during the rest of the photo shoot for the remainder of that day. & it was agreed that he,Jack, was to NOT be put to sleep, because the lion didn't do it intentionally, but as a means to defend & protect himself naturally, cuz the guy he killed had moved too suddenly, having forgot the most crucial, & important rule that was told to everyone on the set during the entire shoot.. & they also let the shot be kept in, that is still used today, which is actually one of the first shots taken (& which is from the poor guy who died)..(out of respect) AND since it was the best shot, anyway.(as there were MANY shots taken before & after the incident) during the entirety of that long day, on set of that professional photo shoot....R.I.P. to the regal & majestic Jack the lion,(& the assistant cameraman) & to all who was employed or involved with that project that day...peace & hugs to everyone, both then & now - with very much love from - Marina Martin ..here in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada..xoxx.

Btw, I would have enjoyed this video if it had not been so deceitful. There are ways to build interested audiences without lying about the content. No mention was ever made about the braided woman in the thumbnail or beginning. But because of the dishonesty I’m not going to watch anymore of these videos. At 08:50 the picture is actually of three bullets that have hit entire cartridges, casing and powder included. You can see this in the prominent rim at the back of each cartridge and in the stringy cordite gunpowder in the top right. Though still cool, this shows the aftermath of an ammo box being shot, not two bullets colliding in mid-air.

@@schlumbl84All knowledge should be revealed to have a better understanding of the future I agree it's kind of like a double edged sword but not all photos should be seen such as people abused in the past in such horrific ways that could be seen and replicated as a way of personal justice also for a childs mentality not being able to un see the things you shouldn't see just like a dirty snuff film or photo's etc I call it visual corruption some photo's glorify inhumane acts of so called humanity and promotes a radical idea and gives birth to an ideology such as white knight templars not the actual templars copy cats for instance like the norway massacre for example and that's just a sample on the effects they're are tons who fall victims to the victimisation of their own beliefs if certain words from a religious book can make an individual flip I'm pretty sure a certain photo can. Maybe the people that died so horribly in the photos deserve to have their story told rather than all their pains being forgotten it's a deep topic you have to put yourself in the photo to understand the meaning and think too yourself if you we're them would you want this particular moment remembered instead of the good things you done you'll be remembered for the bad thing that happened to you.

In the H-Bomb photos, I noticed a technical error the narrator made. The underwater explosion was an Atomic Bomb, not an H-Bomb. If it were an H-Bomb it would have been up to at least 1,000 times more powerful and would have filled the entire frame of the photo and vaporized everything including the photographer and his camera. Still, a fantastic photo!

For what little I really know about Charlie Chaplin, that picture of him and Hellen Keller,, a person I do know lot about, brought tears to my eyes. It was just so beautiful for so many reasons and I think it should be in every history book.
