The feeling of happiness and fulfillment I have is because of you

I went on a journey through a difficult and barren place

I was looking for the Buddha
I was searching for enlightenment and inner peace

But instead, I encountered the Christian savior

Jesus was kind and indifferent to our different beliefs

And lit a cigarette
Jesus was human and indulged in common pleasures

Jesus urged me to find happiness and celebrate life

He encouraged me to let others know about my joy and positivity

Remember what I said
He reminded me to keep his message of love and hope in my heart

My soul is a like a ruby
My innermost being is precious and valuable

And I threw it in the earth
I gave my all to attain my religious goals

But now my hands are bleeding
I suffered physical and emotional trauma while working towards my goals

From scrabbling in the dirt
I put in a lot of hard work and effort, but the outcome was not exactly what I expected

And I look up to the heavens
I turn to God for salvation and hope

And a light is on my face
I feel guided and enlightened by my faith

I never thought it was possible for me to experience

Thought I'd find a state of grace
Inner peace and divine guidance is something I never thought I would be able to attain
