After completing high school, Katrina Elam moved to Nashville, TN, where she secured a contract with Universal South. Tony Brown and Jimmie Lee Sloas produced her first self-titled album, released on October 5, 2004. The first single, “No End In Sight”, reached number 29 on the US Country chart. The single caught the attention of CMA Entertainer of the Year Keith Urban, and Katrina Elam joined Urban’s tour, “Be Here” in 2004. She continued touring with Urban throughout his “Alive in ‘05” U.S. Tour. In January 2005, Elam was named the New Now artist by Yahoo! Launchcast.
Katrina’s most recent single, "Love Is," is off her unreleased album, TURN ME UP and can be purchased on iTunes, though the rest of the album, including "Flat on the Floor," which received some radio play but was never released as a single, are unreleased.
In 2008, Katrina Elam was dropped from Universal Records South and, to this day, remains an unsigned artist.

We're not strong enough to say we can forgive
We're not brave enough to fall
Oh, and we're not big enough to risk it all
But love is, love is
It's always been, it always will be
We may not be perfect
We can't resist another fling
We're not able to live above the bling
But love is, love is
It's always been, it always will be
We may not be perfect
But love is
We may not be ready
Anywhere close to a start
But wherever we are
Love is
It's always been, it always will be
I may not be perfect
But love is
Hey, love is
Love is
The song "Love Is" by Katrina Elam speaks about the challenges of love and how despite all the imperfections and weaknesses, love always remains a constant force in our lives. The first verse talks about how the couple is not strong enough to bend or forgive, not brave enough to fall or risk it all. However, despite all these shortcomings, love is the one thing that will always remain. Love is described as something that is always present, always has been and always will be.
The second verse talks about how the couple may not be able to resist another fling or live above the "bling", which refers to materialistic things that often distract people from what really matters. Despite all these challenges and flaws, love remains the constant force in their lives. The chorus reiterates the fact that love is always present, always has been and will always be.
The last verse talks about how the couple may not be ready and are nowhere close to a start, but regardless of where they are in their relationship, love is still present. It emphasizes the fact that love is not conditional and is not dependent on any external factors, it's simply a part of us.
Overall, the song encourages listeners to understand that love is not always perfect and that it requires work and effort, but regardless of the challenges, it is something that is always present and worth fighting for.

Yes, she has it all, one in a million voice, tremendous beauty, awesome song writter, and natural acting ability. We watch her movie Pure Country at least once a year, and have her music on our play list. Hoping and praying she'll come out with more content some day. She is such a blessing!
